Brilliant.

What a fucked up movie, though. The first time I saw it it stayed with me for days.

Anyway, carry on.

I hate you, dickshit.

As I mentioned before, I stay away from that shit like the plague.

MM how did you do today?

I am generally stock bearish so today kind of sucked
but Im bullish in a few of the indices. Made some good coin on the DIA today. :)

rest of the time was damage control. luckily I do mainly delta neutral options trading with a slight bearish bias so my ass was somewhat covered overall.

The Mist was really good... Awesome thriller & the crazy group dynamics... the end was so fantastic, I didn't see it coming. I was entertained.

Not until March 25th, but I downloaded the R5 DVD version (Russian) via torrent... DVD's always go out way sooner there to curtail organized crime...

:)

ending sucked balls
should have had the guy find the source of all the shit and have a showdown or expose or something

+1

He was a chickenshit. Like they never passed gas stations and shit on the road back. And they could have tried to sit there and wait it out.

Ending was lame as hell. Just like most of King's endings are.

That wasnt King's ending. Darabont came up with it himself.

I think the point of the story is that they did try to sit there and wait it out. For movie-making sake, however, they are not going to show the car parked there for 30 minutes with the characters just looking at each other.

Anyone that shoots his son rather than waiting for more dire consequences deserves eternal torment. They ran out of gas... talked a few minutes, BANG BANG BANG.

They could have tried to fight. Or find shelter. Or something. Death would have been a last resort for me.

1) His son was asleep (yes he woke up at the last moment) but that played a factor in it.

2) Thats the whole point of the film. I think it mirrors, in a lot of ways, The Shawshank Redemption. Both revolve around when it is time to give up all hope. Obviously, according to both stories, the answer is never.

It was decent, but what I didn't get was the fact that if the black guy didn't want to come back there and see the tentacle for himself, why didn't they haul it out in the aisle and show it to him? If they had stayed in the grocery store, they would have eventually gotten rescued.

The tentacle evaporated when they poked it with the stick. I agree though that the blaque's mentality was a little unbelievable.

Also, you never find out if the peeps in the store were rescued the only person you see later is the chick with the kids.

I had to suspend disbelief that anyone would still resort to such an extreme tactic. As you saw, they drove by cop cars, one overturned. That would have been a good source for ammo, and medical supplies.

Actually I think the "monsters" in that movie were the people themselves. The crack pot Christian, the racist black man, the whore, the hero who kills his son, etc..

Exactly. Most people, for some reason, didnt get that. It reminded me of "Aliens," with respect to showing who the real monsters can be.

LOL ya douche. How many times to I have to tells ya...stay away from that shit.

I think I should have been an oil trader. My buddy has worked for Jump Trading for about 2 years now, midnight to 8am. 26 years old pulling in $400k+ each year. Unreal.

LOL, lucky kid - but I think the oil bubble is going to bust soon.

March 25. As long as you like movies that are good, you shouldn't be dissapointed.
