The Demon and the Expos

That new 6-8, 285-pound dude with the ponytail, wearing No. 53 for the Montreal Expos, is none other than Dale Torborg, known as "The Demon" in the wrestling ring.
Dale Torborg, 29, manager Jeff Torborg's son, is taking time off from his career as a professional wrestler to help with batting practice and infield duties as well as managing strength and conditioning.
"I'm still under contract with the WCW (World Championship Wrestling), which the World Wrestling Federation just bought," Torborg said. "Hulk Hogan is starting up a new federation so I know I'll be wrestling somewhere."
Torborg was playing in the Yankee system when, on a flight to the 1995 Rose Bowl, he sat next to Hogan. Torborg had studied radio, television and film at Northwestern University and was looking for a way into showbiz.
"I'm not in the same realm as these players but I'm here to help any way I can," Torborg said of his baseball job. "I grew up in baseball and I know my way around the weight room."
