You mentioned in Jen's thread that he is good at sucking the joy out of your life. Whats up?

He makes absinthe without wormwood and steals her crack.

Yes, this behavior would call for some punishment. Seriously Raina, does your guy need a beating?

not to go off on a tangent, but....what is absinthe and how do i make it\get it?

Happiness is a fleeting emotion and sincerity is often too easy for people to fabricate...................

But someone could still go kick his ass for fun I suppose....

Time for Wapner.

I'm just going through an interesting stage in my life....growing apart from someone I've been with for a long time. Just sort of odd I guess-- but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger and I've learned SO much about myself and what I want/deserve from knowing him.

This thread came up while I was away from my computer....I suppose it doesn't bother me though. All is well. I'm a tough cookie. ;)

i hope all is well with you sweetheart...it is great to hear that you learned so much about yourself and what you want and deserve....those are the most important things you need to understand going into or out of any relationship....

if you need a shoulder or just need to chat....im here for you....:)

Raina, :) you're a wonderful person and its good that you learned things about yourself... listen to kronkette!

Kronkette...excellant post :) pics? LOL j/k hun ;)

I'm to the point where I know what's best for me-- and I know that I don't need another person to be happy. I'm content to be myself. Now I just have to let go-- which is easier said that done. I know I'm going to be better off for doing all of this too. I'm excited that I get to start over. ;)

A good trip to Montreal would help you. No doubts :)

Here is the thing about thinking you deserve something. The fact of life is that no one deserves anything, and everything in life must be earned. When you earn anything, that's when you deserve what you worked for.

That being said all you can do in life is work hard, work smart and be generous to others. If you feel you deserve someone better in your life, you must find, meet and EARN the privlegde of that person giving you his/her time.

So do not say you deserve something, say you will work hard at that something and the deserved reward will come.

I like that. It's tough, but I'll just bet you will grow so much. It's important to learn to be whole by yourself--not filling that void with other people, things, etc. The only thing that ever really fills it is unconditional love for yourself. When you've found that, you will be ready for "him/her" when the time is really right. Soundsl like you are on the right track. Good luck.
