Rack pulls for bodybuilders?

would these benefit me to rotate from deads to rack pulls every other week.

ie wk1 deads wk2 rack pulls and so on.

or would I be best staying with deads every week just going lighter some weeks?

I am trying to get far stronger but size comes first for me,200lbs by jan 04 is my goal and I am about 15-17lbs away

thanks guys

yupp ,I deadlift from the floor now and wasnt sure if I should do them weekly,I am adding quite a bit of weight each week but who knows how long that will keep up

What I used to do was go 2-3 weeks of heavy deads from the floor and then do 1 week or rack pulls. This worked pretty well.

Rack deads have given me the confidence to pull heavier and heavier weight on normal deads.

Because of rack deads my grip strength has never failed me now on normal deads.

I alterante it as well.

week 1: deadlifts
week 2: hyperextensions
week 3: partial deadlifts
week 4: hyperextensions
week 5: deadlifts

and so on

i also make sure i only do SLDL on the same weeks i do hyperextensions.

partial deads are great for bodybuilding

less leg stress, less chance of overtraining

more able to target back

less hip stress, bodybuilders do NOT want wide hips

I already have huge hips and a thick trunk I am fighting against so I think I will add these in bi weekly to help with back and grip
