To ensure we Americans never offend anyone - particularly fanatics
intent on killing us - airport screeners will not be allowed to profile
people. They will continue random searches of 80-year-old women, little
kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents
who are members of the President's security detail and 85-year old
Congressmen with metal hips. Let's pause a moment and take the
following test.

In 1979, the U.S. embassy in Iran was taken over by:
(a) Norwegians from Ballard;
(b) Elvis;
(c) A tour bus full of 80-year-old women; or
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1983, the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by:
(a) A pizza delivery boy;
(b) Crazed feminists complaining that being able to throw a
grenade beyond its own burst radius was an unfair and sexist
requirement in basic training;
(c) Geraldo Rivera making up for a slow news day; or
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by:
(a) Luca Brazzi, for not being given a part in "Godfather 2;"
(b) The Tooth Fairy;
(c) Butch and Sundance who had a few sticks of dynamite left over
from the train mission, or,
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1998, the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by:
(a) Mr. Rogers;
(b) Hillary, to distract attention from Wild Bill's women problems;

(c) The World Wrestling Federation to promote its next villain:
"Mustapha the Merciless;" or
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked and destroyed by:
(a) Bugs Bunny, Wiley E. Coyote, Daffy Duck, and Elmer Fudd.
(b) The Supreme Court of Florida trying to outdo their attempted
hijacking of the 2000 Presidential election;
(c) Mr. Bean,
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

Hmmm ............. nope, ain't no patterns here to be seen???

db...this will be a really thought provoking read and I'll read it in a second, but for now, how about you not offend me, and clean out your PM box??? Thanks!!!!!!!! ;)

So what are you suggesting? that we only single out young muslims at airports? Not only would that be unconstitutional, it would be humiliating and would foster more ill feelings towards Muslim-Americans.

Hitler also enjoyed singling out particular groups, America is beyond that, or at least it should be.

Can you help me find out who else hijacks airplanes so I can add them to the list??

Please describe a racial profiling for another airplane hijacker.. I will add them.... better yet... I will NEVER bring up.. or comment on this topic ever again. Just give me some (3) examples of another group of people who hijack airplanes.

are you up to the challenge??

I don't think it would foster anything worse than what already exists, and, sorry, but if the choices are

1)Use racial profiling and make this country a safer place

or

2)Don't use racial profiling because it will hurt feelings :nopity: thus making the country a more life-threatening place,

I will choose 1) EVERY time.

No some the old ones might try some shit too.... Unconstitutional to search people, hmmm I would rather they search them than me get my fucking guts exploded by a grenade. This is searching, not killing, so the comparison to Hitler doesn't work. Generally I would prefer if they search Muslim Americans, even a few Muslim friends I have say this should be done. If you want the right to fly on a plane then you naturally give up a few of your own rights. Example, when you go into public you forfeit the right to bear arms (unless you have a permit), also you give up the right of searching in some public places, yes being patted down at a stadium or club comes to mind.... They want to fly then they needed to be searched, fucking search me as long as it makes other safe go right the fuck ahead.

I think this 'random search' process is almost completely ridiculous and a waste of time for airline/airport workers and passengers. It is obviously an effort to be politcally correct and to avoid fostering ill-feelings amongst particular ethnic groups. Well, screw that!!! I want the damn airlines to be efficient, focus their efforts, and nab the bad guys. Not dilly-dally and pulling little 5'2 me out of the line and making me feel like a criminal because I am carrying a bottle of water that could potentially be gasoline, so who knows what other secret weapons I am harboring, in their half-assed effort to be polite and PC and pretend they are doing a good job for god's sake. I don't think they need to worry too much about fostering ill-feelings in the Muslim community because most of them already harbor it. :(
