r-ALA WITH fat

MrRTTB

One question, and I need someone to answear thatreally knows this. Some people say never to mig fat with ala, is this true or false. Would one ggain more fat with ala + fat than witout the ala.

I mean what would be best in a bulk ad a cutting diet

protein(50g) + fat(15g) + carb(80g) + ala

or would it be better to take protein + fat, then protein + carbs + ala. How long after ala intake would it then be ok to eat fat?

to ALA or not..that is the question.

any studies on this??

well with r-ala in particular I believe it keeps blood insulin levels lower... (by storing the blood glucose before an insulin spike can occur?) insulin will store the fat quickly course... which you don't want.. so I would think it is beneficial, and as far as I know ala/r-ala doesn't store fat just glucose, but ulter or macro may be able to give you a more detailed response..

I would love to hear some specifics on this. Some say don't mix carbs and fat some say it's ok, then throw r-ala in the mix and does that change? make it ok? not ok?

Yo smart people (fonz, macro, etc.) where ya at???

using r-ala with a fat and carb based meal (as opposed to carb or fat only) (with protein as well of coursse) will decrease fat gain, but too much fat will still make you fat. as long as fat is low to moderate and r-ala intake matched to carbs- then it will be a very beneficial addition (in essence- it becomes OK )

insulin still plays a big role, even with fat deposition (not as much as with carbs but it still enhances it) so the addition of r-ala even with higher fat meals will still have impact (by lowering insulin and decreasing adipose deposition)..

IMHO-- low to moderate fats with carbs+protein and r-ala is "good". as the fat amount rises and carbs drops the benefits are "less" (though there still are benefits)

So where would r-ala fit into a ketogenic/atkins type diet with the majority of meals being high protein/high fat. Does r-ala sort of "lose its place" in this type of diet??

How much r-ala is recommended daily? I have the Glucorell-R and I think each capsule is like 100 mgs. + 500 mgs. of biotin (going by memory 'cause I'm too lazy to get up and look).

basic formula 1 cap of glucorell for every 30-40g of carbs

really depends on how much you eat..

as a general # 500-800mg covers most people though some take up to 1200-1500mg a day (those eating 4-6kcals moderate to high carbs)

??? Or might it still help somehow?

probably if you do any carbups, it would be useful for that... or getting into ketosis perhaps.. otherwise your blood sugar levels should be pretty low in ketosis...

is glucorell r recomended to be taken while on ckd diet?

cause thats what im trying to do so if its not in place then i'll just save it for later

well right now i wanna get rid of the fat and then hit some other diet to start gaining muscle. ive been told its easier that way
