R-ALA,High protein and stayin in ketosis

Will r-ala allow me to stay in ketosis w/ a higher protein intake?

Sometimes I tend to get high on my protein.

Also what are your thoughts on glycerol and ketosis. I have completely eliminated glycerol and am having awesome results...will glycerol throw you out of ketosis/back into krebs?I know its not a true carb in action.

I had the same problem. I took in too much protein and not enough fat. In the 2 days that I've not used my protein powder, and upped my fat, I've seen some nice changes, and I'm sure by the end of this week with my new Special-K Mr. X ratios in place, I will be well on my way to where I want to be.

Plus I'm not even as hungry as I used to be with all the fat I ate, it really holds you over ( plus the 5-htp )

But if ALA or R-ALA can keep you in ketosis even if you tip the scales of your protein intake, that would be a big plus!

its not really clear whether EITHER keep you in "ketosis".. which is IMHO not necessary... as there is a good possibility that they cause false positives (racemic in particular due to high doses and greater amount of sulfyl metabolites excreted.. partially reduced ala)

r-ala lowers insulin.. so eat more carbs.. the MAIN point. of ketosis is to minimize insulin. its not the ketotic burning.. its the lack of insulin.. at least according to the keto gurus..

really cant say becuase have never reccomended the keto diet..

i just ordered 2 bottles of r-ala to try it out, also going to take your advise and try it with GLA (Borage Oil) and CLA.....i want to get ripped in 7 weeks for a trip to SB

how many carbs and what kind of prot/carb/fat ratio per meal do you suggest to get hard and ripped naturally...i have my workout and cardio sessions in place, just want to optimize my results using the above combo you suggested..
