I want to gain strength in my deadlifts, but no size in my legs. Size in my back wouldn't be unwelcome, but it's not necessary. Would performing deadlifts for 3x3 once a week be adequate for my goals? Or would that still put on leg mass?

I'm eating to bulk still...
 
If you are eating to bulk then you will gain weight everywhere, If you deadlift you will gain mass everywhere; hence that is why they are so effective, I think you should maybe try weighted reverse hypers instead if this is your priority
