quick needle question

im a dumbass and after i was done filling up me needle i droped it on the carpet (doh!)

anyways, i put the cap back on and was wondering if before i inject, i should clean it with alchahol or if i should just not clean it....
(remember its sterile before you let it touch anything)

why don't you just change the pin. you should change the pin after you draw to make sure it really sharp anyway.

Well let's see... 100 needles costs a touch under $5. Hmmm, risk of abcess...

Just use a new needle.

But maybe I go overboard. I have those swab pads and try to sterilize everything several times over. I guess I really like the ability to sit, lol.

I guess you could drop it in some alcohol, but I told you what I would do.

Unscrew the needle, and replace it with a new one. You should do this anyway, because its sharper and easier on you.

I would just change pins. That's me though. I change pins after drawing. I'm real fastidious about this stuff.

the amount of sharpness it loses is beyond measurable.

sharpness doesnt even matter here!!!! do you have any idea how much bacteria and germs the pin picks up just from holding it in the air for a second before you put it in your ass??? that rug, on a microscopic level, is undoubtedly filthy and ridden with bacteria, youd most likely get an abcess or infection from using that pin. if you dont want to lose the $.01, id weigh that against the cost of having your abcess drained in the hospital.

I thought everyone changed the needle after they draw. I do it for sharpness and becuase I draw with an 18g and shoot with a 25g. 18g in the quad, can you say ouch
