First is Peter Aerts other is Mirko Cro-Cop Filipovic. I dl videos of them off Kazaa and I like there style/MA I recently DL the video of Ramon Dekkers off of this site. And he seemed to be doing the same thing... Are they all
Muay Thai? Or is it Kickboxing? Or maybe both? :p Just curious because these guys really rox.

Muay Thai.

.

Aerts is strictly a kickboxer. Mirko fought in K1 for years as a top 3 fighter but made the transition to MMA about two years ago and fights in Pride FC

Thanks for answers... What exaclly is "MMA" an "Pride FC" ?.
Im interested in starting Muay Thai , but I live in a small town of only 8000 people. The only choises that I've seen so far are Aikido, TKD, Boxing and kickboxing...
I guess kickboxing and MuayThai are kinda related though?

Dekkers is awesome. I saw a picture of what Mirko did to Bob Sapp, though. Sapp had over 100 lbs. on him, a couple inches, and was intimidating. Mirko ended a fight in 1m26s by breaking his eye socket.

Frickin' awesome.

MMA=Mixed Martial Arts. The two biggest MMA events are UFC and Pride. If those are your only choices, yeah, kickboxing would probably be best. Chances are you can find somebody in the area that teaches grappling though, it's pretty damn popular nowadays. Look around for Jiu-jitsu, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu to be specific. peace

Mirko is unbelievable with the high kick. He also boxes and defends takedowns well. If you like him you might like Fedor Emilianenko, also.

Take separate classes for Boxing and Kickboxing... Some kickboxing instructors don't really know much about Hands... Learn the boxing the kicking is easy.

I actually had a differant experience. When I first went to a Kickboxing gym, they were primarily a Boxing gym with golden gloves and a pro with kickboxing taught secondary. I found the hands were taught much better than the MT gyms that I went to later on. But the elbows/knees and kicks were taught with more at the MT gyms as well.
