After 9/11 a lot of people have been tossing around "god bless america". Why do they keep saying this? From the looks of it god hasn't blessed anything. If god had blessed america, the 9/11 event would've never happened. Theists seem to give the answer of "everything is part of gods big plan". If everything is part of gods big plan, why are we after Bin Laden? Wasn't he and other terrorists just carrying out gods desired plan? So it seems that Bin Laden/ terrorism isnt our enemy , but god

Miracles. Many people are claiming that God granted a miracle when the miners in PA were rescued. Where was God's miracle Sept 11th? Too busy keeping a cross erect eh?

2)Why does God have emotions (jealousy, anger, sadness, love, etc.) if he is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent? Emotions are reactionary, how can God react to us if he is all-knowing and has a divine plan?

3)If god is omniscient and "god is love," why would he allow a child to be conceived, knowing that that child would one day reject him and spend eternity burning in a lake of fire? If I were god, I wouldn't allow it; I have more love for humanity than he does

4)Why are we granted free will if our duty in this life to our god is to do as we are told? We are to follow rules upon threat of punishment. Is that free will?

5)If God has a plan for you, and his plan cannot be thwarted, do you really have a free will?

6)I hear Christians all the time speaking of a war between Heaven and Hell, if this is true does God have limitations of power? Man only conducts wars because of our limitations of power and foresight. God has both all-power and all-knowledge, no reason for war

7)How could the all-merciful/loving God watch billions of his children burn over and over again for eternity.

8)If Satan is the ultimate trickster, how do we know that Satan hasn't tricked Christians into worshipping him as God (Yahweh) and are actually rebuking the "real" God in his own name?

9)If you are so loving and caring, why did you let that policmen shoot a dog, couldnt you made cop miss the poor dog?

Dear God:

To borrow from Robert Green Ingersoll, why should anyone ask you about raising children when you drowned yours? Good luck with your answer. Peace

AMEN.

Your best bet is to accept it all as the crap that it is and move on to better things like why people call you out to a party with 10 strippers on a 15 minutes notice, and you get the message the next day.

1) Religion (i.e. god, in whatever context one takes it Allah, Budda
Jesus Christ) was created to give order and structure, nothing more. Anyone who can deeply believe Jesus Christ was the son
of an all loving, all knowing god, born of immaculate conception
needs alot of self help.

Burning_Inside summed it up good in one sentence

" Your best bet is to accept it all as the crap that it is "

Buddy, it all boils down to FAITH. Believers have it, naysayers don't........plain and simple. Just because bad things happen in this world doesn't mean He let them. Bad things have happened to me, but I still know God. I've seen God and He's been there for me many of time......can't tell you how, but I just know......hard to explain. People can say what they want about "needing self help" and having issues or whatever......if you have faith, you have God.

God does not control the will of man. To put it in a different perspective, think of God as a parent of everything. All parents can do is raise their children and hope that the child grows up to be a good person. This doesn't always happen. Same idea with God, he doesn't control what goes on in everyday life, though he is ultimately responsible for every living being. It's not supposed to be a black and white thing, their is a lot of gray area in religion. That is why faith is so important in religion. If you do not have faith then nothing will make any sense. God doesn't want any of this horrible stuff to happen.

I hope I could shed new light on your question.

You have seen God? How many times have I heard this one? What did he or she or it look like? Did he speak to you also? Was he there in your avatar helping you to choose it?
