If you were a pro sports athlete (Big three only) would you rather:

1. Make the league minimum salary with no chance of making more no matter how good you are, But at some point in your career you will win at least one superbowl or world series or nba championship. Keep in mind you wouldnt know you would win a championship though.

2. Have your career normally like everyone else where your salary, success, etc are not guaranteed.

I personally play to win. The money would just leave a bad taste in my mouth knowing I sold myself out.

If its only between the 2 id go with number 2.......in the end you're more likely to make more money......sports is a business now.......and you still have a chance of winning a championship.

Or you could add #3.....make in the top 10% salary in your league but are guaranteed never to win a championship.

I wanted a juxtaposition of certainty verse uncertainty. championship guarantee with minimum cash verse everything up in the air and uncertain.
