It is my understanding to keep weight routeins to 1 hour as after an hour your body's cortasol levels start to increase.
What if you do weights and cardio in the same session?
A routein that is 1 hour now becomes lets say 1 and 45minutes due to the added cardio.
Are your cortasol levels going to be elevated due to the added cardio?

That depends on a few things, especially on how intense the workout is and if you are on steroids or not. also the rise in cortisol i personally dont think makes that much of an impact, and if you are worried then sip a carb drink, that will keep cortisol in check.

How much should you drink in the past I have had like 1/4 cup and a shake.

Like i said, i dont think the cortisol increase is that significant to make a difference, it may be good, cause when cortisol increaes, GH will be released, so I think it would cancel out any bad effects.
