Just need opinions on this...that's all. I take an ECY stack early in the morning before going to the gym. I also take 2 capsules of Glucorell and then down a preworkout shake with 60grms of carbs. Should I leave the Glucorell in there? Should I take only 1 capsule? Or should I NOT take Glucrorell for preworkout? Same goes for PWO. What about CLA taken with the Glucorell for pre and post?

i take it pre workout with alcar and love it

i dont take it post workout i know this differs than most people.. i think anyway

I use glucorell L, but not PWO. You muscles sucks in the hi GI carbs like a sponge after a hard workout anyway. I use rala with meal 1, meal before workout, and the meal one hour after workout.

I take 400-600mgs of glu-R with an MRP prior to working out....awesome!!! Iam at 225#....

-Ulter.....
I was wondering what the possible benefit would be to adding R-ALA BEFORE & AFTER my workout.
This would be part of my heavy bulking phase this winter and would consist of a simple 30g Carb/15g Protein shake during my workout, as well as a 80g Carb/50g Protein/10g Creatine Shake Post-Workout.
What would be your recommended protocol in this case?....remembering I'm bulking.
What would be the recommended R-ALA dosing Pre & Post workout?

Thanks for your time

Unless your workout is over 3 hours long there is plenty if Glucorell in your muscle cells when you finish. If you take it pre workout it's still there post workout.

Borg4902, Read Dr Matt on the top of the board. R means "right facing".

Ulter, BTW, how does r-ALA shuttle carbs into my muscles? How does that work? How does it know to that into my muscles and NOT into my fat cells? Does adding CLA increase it's effects? And what about someone using slin? Would it be wise to use r-ALA along with the slin?

http://www.anabolicfitness.net/ALA/index_1.htm Read Glucose Metabolism,
and read Dr Matt's explanation on the top of this board.
I answered all this when I wrote my reply to your PM.

Glucorell R improves your insulin sensitivity. It makes the mitochondria (powerplants) in your muscle cells fire up and run better. It's like throwing oxygen on a flame. When this happens the muscle cells become "hungrier" for glucose. So when you eat carbs and they are converted to glucose the muscle cells will absorb more of it. If you don't use Glucorell R and you're insulin resistant then there will be excess insulin produced to feed the cells. Think of insulin like a spoon holding up the glucose for your muscles to eat. If your muscles don't eat then the body keeps making more and more insulin to hold the spoon up until the glucose is gone. After a while the glucose will all be stored as fat if the muscles don't take it.
So Glucorell R holds down the excess insulin your body might produce by causing your body to dispose of the glucose faster.
There is no point in using it with insulin, and yes, insulin makes you fatter.
