What is it? Does it work like ephedrine? I know it is a nasal decongestant. But if I take pseusoephedrine...will I be wired up as if I were to take ephedrine?

when ephedra was banned i started taking sudafed (psuedoephedrine) and found that i am getting better results with fewer side effects - (let me say that i am not a hardcore bodybuilder but a guy who is aging - 54 years of age - and want to keep my bodyfat and weight down - went from a 44 waist 3 years ago to 36 waist today) - even better results when combined with caffine and acetyl l-carnintine....
OH no! Wait up guys! I do NOT want to take this for fat burning. I want to take this because sometimes my nose gets stuffy. I want it for its main purpose. But I do not want to take it, get a better unstuffed nose, but end up all fucking wired up like ephedrine.
So what you are saying is that I WILL be wired up on this stuff?????? I read somewhere that a guy takes viagra and ends up all congested. But that when he takes a decongestant, it all goes away. That is what I want to do. But NOT be wired!!!

Yep...technically speaking...pseudoephedrine MAY slightly elevate your heart rate and blood pressure - but certainly FAR less than ephedrine would (and much less than, say, adrenaline would). Think of it as a sliding scale.
Dilation of bronchial passages and increased metabolic rate simply doesn't occur to any significant degree with pseudoephedrine.....the effects of ephedrine however, are very noticeable. The pseudoephedrine is simply an effective nasal decongestant....nothing more.

Well yes, ephedrine + caffeine is more effective for this purpose than ephedrine alone, if that's what you meant. As far as it being healthy/unhealthy....people need to be smart about it and use common sense. Assuming you don't have any pre-existing/underlying cardiac or hypertension issues, it can be used quite safely if not abused.

Carth, if you want to combat the stuffiness that comes with viagra use, spray Afrin. Decongestants can nullify the effects of viagra. In fact, my MD told me that if someone comes in the office after taking too much viagra,(you know... with a raging boner that won't go down) he gives them benedryl and the wood becomes a noodle.

Funny you mentioned that. I read on a website ( don't remember which one ) that a guy said that when he takes Viagra, he gets a headache and stuffynose. But that taking a decongestant makes the stuffy nose go away.
Now last week I took 50mgs of Viagra and that shit didnt' anything to me! Usually 25mgs is all I need. Then again...I did take a decongestant pill with the Viagra. Now I'm thinking that the pseudoephedrine killed the Viagra. What do you think?
Have you tried Afrin? Or Afrin with Viagra?
Oh btw..benedryl has pseudoephedrine? I don't see it in the ingredients.

Carth, I'm not sure if it is pseudoephedrine, but some ingredient in decongestants have the nullifying effect on viagra; I'll ask my doc next time I see him. Yes, I always spray Afrin after taking a blue bullet, for me they go together. Then, later, I take Aleve for the headache. Hate the stuffiness & headache from Viagra. Another thing; if you take Viagra with or after a meal, it also doesn't work very well. Best to take it on a fairly empty stomach. Too much alchol can kill it also.

I suppose you could do it either way. I spray Afrin right after I take V, because I know V is going to make me stuffy & Afrin works for like 12 hours, so not worried about spraying it too early. Sometimes I don't take Aleve, because V does not always give me a headache. I usually wait until I feel the headache, because I might not get one until about 4 hours after I pop V , and I think Aleve only lasts like 4 hours. ps. The stuffiness & headache sides with V are magnified with lots of alcohol, but my routine for making panties drop with new chicks involves alcohol: freaking catch 22.
I do not consume alcohol or use drugs.
