Question for the mods???

needsize

Elite Mentor
Platinum
Is there not any way to keep the topics on the anabolic board strictly related to anabolics. I just scrolled down this page and I doubt half the questions/posts on here have anything to do with gear (other than retarded questions like "what kind of gear do you think (insert movie star's name here) takes). This seems to be the worst it has ever been. I honestly dont ask my questions about anabolics on elite any more, I go to other boards where my serious question wont get bumped off the page in seconds by this useless crap!!

The thing that sucks the most is that I payed cash to be a platinum member too, $130 canadian I believe, to have this happen to anything serious that I post. And asking questions in the platinum forum is a joke that I wont even touch!

Is the solution more mods, as I know you guys have lives, or should the policies be more strictly enforced. Otherwise, the gradual progression I've been watching of knowlegeable vets leaving due to this and being replaced by kids asking the same, non AAS related questions, will continue.

And yes, I am aware of the irony of having just done what I'm complaining about

It's about time someone said that shit.....I pay too and all I read is dumb ass posts about what other people are on. Needsize...great post bro.....I agree with you 100%. Karma coming at ya.

could not have said it better myself. i remember when all the knowledgeably bro's like, kodak, slopian, THE RANGER, etc. all used to post here. nowadays most of the members here have never even heard of those guys.:(

Those guys and others are the reason I came here, and I've watched them all disappear one by one. There are a few left that know their shit, but how long will they last. The odd times my questions actually get answered it's by a kid that read some shit once, so now he's an expert (but has just started his first cycle).

As I said in an earlier thread, sometimes its like shoveling water around here. You delete one post because its off topic and 2 pop up wondering why it was deleted, stating their right to free speah...blah blah blah. Sometimes it causes MUCH less traffic just leaving the posts. If you want the posts to go away it will take a group effort and off topic posts should simply be ignored. Off topic stuff gets posted here because people know they will get a response. The most effctive way of eliminating them and not having to deal with the stup "why was my post deleted/moved" threads is to simply ignore them. When people see they dont get a response to off topic posts they will stop posting them.

This is a solution I have seen brought up a few times in the last few months but it never seems to get taken seriously. realistically we have many mods who rarely visit so for the integrity of the board to reamin intact the admin need to look closely at not only how much the mods know and contribute, but also how much time they regularly put in as well. An overhaul in this area should really be considered. Don't get me wrong the mods who are here are usually nothing but great, but there are some who are spending virtually no time here anymore.....BTW can any mod (form C&C even) delete source posts or otherwise idiotic posts.

do you really think that all the idiots on this board will not respond to the dumb post?

So what you guys are saying is that if we delete(or move) the nonesense you wont have a problem with everyone asking why there thread was moved/deleted?

Personally I dont have a problem with trying to keep a tighter rein on things but it always seems that no matter what we do we always have people complaining.

i agree, there are some mods that have not posted in over a year!! George really needs to come on this board more often and see whats really going on. i remember when he used to post almost everyday!! now it's hard to get him to respond to your emails!

Zyg, you are one of the few mods that does actually spend regular time on this board, so unless George brings in new mods, the bulk of this would fall on you and a small group of other mods that actually spend time here. That's not really fair to you guys though, so I think the number of active mods really should be increased.
As for those jackasses posting about why was their thread removed, we could always use the karma system for that. Right now it's only used by the post whores on the chat board
