just out of curiosity, in your relationships do you like being teased? like for the man to take playful jabs at you (ofcourse, you knowing hes just joking around). do you feel that teasing is a condusive part of a healthy relationship? for instance, this one girl came over to my house and after we had sex, she talked for a long time (u know how u guys always yackity yack yack) and the next day i was pretty tired. and im like 'now my sleep schedule is all messed up because of you.' and she goes 'why?' and i go, 'oh because you just kept going talking and talking..and i couldnt get any sleep *rolls eyes in a joking manner." and shes like 'aww fine then im not coming over anymore.' and so i hug her and in my triumph voice i go , 'i keed i keed.'

this was like a week ago, you clown. ive since touched that body many times and i will continue to do so when she comes over on wednesday, as well as friday. so far the relationship is good.
props on the norbit avatar though. that is one underrated movie; "then who was eating , that turkey ass??!'" best line, ever.

lololol, yeah it was a good flick.

Stick with the "I keed", that always seems to work, unless your me and you try it as a punchline on some chick who has never seen triumph .

lol @ referring to the girl you're dating and have posted about as "this one girl"; playaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

lol totally unintentional, i swear. theres only one girl im seeing right now.

I think about 80% of the shit I say to my girlfriend is either laughing at her or teasing her, not necessarily dogging her, but just laughing at her in a subliminal way. You know how blonde mindset works, it takes 20 sec. for a joke to process iin their head.

As long as you aren't being malicious, it's all good. I tease everyone and they tease me back. My kids have a CRAZY dry sense of humor and so does my husband.

You should have heard me in the ER when they busted out a walker for my Old Grump. I literally busted out laughing, had to cover my mouth not to offend any of the really sick peeps.

Hell, I must have posted goof pics of him to death since he got the thing! :)

My husband teases me relentlessly. If I feel like he has crossed over to "picking on me" I let him know, he apologizes and we move onto the next order of teasing. :lmao:

I think you need to make up to her and buy her a special gift. I would suggest that gift be a muzzle to shut her up during those times she gets yappy. :)

I love it when my hubby throws down a good zing my way. He's a very intense kinda guy, so I love it when he lightens up with a zing my direction! Of course, this allows me to zing right back at him, which I'm the master! It's always good to laugh at one another and at ourselves!

Yea well, ya'll shoulda seen me the other afternoon in downtown Dallas traffic. He just wouldn't stop nagging about my driving. So I said, "If you don't shut the fuck up now OLD MAN I will get the fuck out of this car and walk." In the past when he was nagging me about my driving, I have pulled over to the side of the road and just got out and started walking away regardless of where we were so HE KNEW I wasn't bluffing.

Keys in car and me just walking away leaving 6 lanes of traffic jammed up at 5:15 on a Friday afternoon.

His right leg is broken, there is NO WAY he could have driven the car if he tried.

...and I didn't give a fat fucking rat's ass... hell, I left my purse and coat in the car.

All he could say was, "YES DEAR.".... and didn't say another word till we got home.

Gotta LUV those zingers. :)

Okay, the kind of teasing you're talking about is just being playful, playful behavior is normal in a healthy relationship.

But teasing where one person is getting angry, hurt, crying, frustrated and saying, things like "I don't like it when you do this shit, knock it off," that's destructive (it was an issue in my first marriage, actually).

There are two basic requirements for spending time with me.

1. Endure endless amounts of facitious ridicule.

2. Understand and follow along with rapid fire movie quotes.

Cheers,
Scotsman

I shall PM Grump my idea for your first year anniversary gift: Muzzle and driving lessons! :)

Yer killin me ovah heeyah!

Funny thing? 40 years old and NOBODY EVAH had an issue with my driving. Then I get married and *magically* I suck?

Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm

He just likes to bitch. But he got over that obsession right quick. Funny thing when he REALLY pisses me off, we are talkin veins and eyes bulging and persperation above my upper lip pissed off. Usually the first words out of his mouth after the obiligatory, "YES DEAR" is "So, I guess a blowjob is out of the question then?"

How could you not bust out laughing after something like that?

There is a certain point in everyone's anger that it becomes FUNNY. I have seen my hubby pretty mad before, and all I can do is laugh when he "goes to that place". I been there too!

I am more like D, I find humor in stress filled situations. It keeps me sane and the blood pressure lowwww. Trust me, "stoopid angry" got me nothing but ulcers!

yeah, teasing is cute so long as it doesn't hit a real nerve. Never tease about something that is true, like being chubby...lol.

I just try and build her up as much as I can. We joke, but not maliciously. To be in love is something not to be taken for granted. Doesn't come easy.

lmao!

The problem is, we never know if we're gonna hit a nerve. Women mix and match their sensitivities almost hourly.

I tend to keep my mouth shut so as not to rock the boat. I've been known to say the wrong thing at times .

I am constantly teased by my husband. He is a big clown! He even embarrasses me in public at times, but I always get a good laugh. I think until you really know someone well it's hard to joke because that person does not know you well enough and will take your jokes too seriously.

Some people just don't like being teased. Teasing brings up bad feelings/memories for me, so it's never okay. When I was younger, in particular, I was very, very self conscious and my (then) husband really took advantage of that fact and ended up teasing me mercilessly despite the fact I begged him not to and told him that it pissed me off and hurt my feelings.

I think if you care about someone, you respect when they say "I don't think that's funny, please knock it off." If the person whose being teased is feeling badly then the joke stops being a joke and becomes cruel. My ex couldn't get that.

I totally agree with you! If the person does not like it and has let you know that then you should back off. My husband knows me well enough that he knows what he can joke about and what he cannot. Again it just goes to really knowing the person well.

Agreed. 100%

That is why when my Old Grump says something that I am remotely sensitive about I let him know pointblank. He sincerely apologizes then says the obligatory, "So, I guess a blowjob would be out of the question then."

:lmao:
