Question for the lovely EF ladies...

I often see women who have long fingernails but then one (often the middle finger) where the nail is short.

Is this so they can ...'play' more easily or is it just a coincidence that lots of women break the nails on their middle finger?

It could be for that reason. I wouldn't keep one nail short and the rest long as that would look hideous to me.

I use to keep my nails semi-long until recently. Playtime use to suck but I managed to figure out a way to play and avoid having my nails hurt me. Now I'd had them short again for almost a month and playtime is a lot less painful due to long, sharp nails.

I don't have long fingernails as they get in the way when I drywall, use a drill, spackle, etc.......but when they do grow, one always breaks off first & it's usually the same one.....so it's either cuz that one just happened to break or for some other reason, like the anal thing, I don't know...

You pretty much always have to file them though, because both long and short nails get sharp rather quickly.
