Question about "Time for a little PUBLIC HUMILIATION" thread.

First, I like it. lol But i have a few questions and that thread is locked, so i'll ask them here. I could'nt find the option where I could choose to get subscribed threads or not. I don't think i did choose that, but I DO get them once in a blue moon. That tells me that MAYBE they are all blocked but some get past the system and get to my E-mail. A!

Why do some get to me and others don't? Maybe 20 altogether have gotten to me out of 10,000 posts. Also, would they be sent to "as Spam" folder if you did'nt physically do it at the time you saw them and can they directly be sent there without your knowledge?

A!

good questions. I hope someone can answer them for you.

Thanks maam. I'm writing a handbook for EF and will present it to GS as a Christmas gift. It'll be a 6 volume set which goes into great detail about the rules of the site we know and love.

If you're not clicking REPORT AS SPAM you're not part of the problem. It's a button, not a folder.

Thanks^^^. I'll note that in my book.

It is a two part scenario. People on EF need to uncheck the notify by email option in their user profile HERE ON EF that sends them emails about their subscribed threads. That is the first solution.

The second solution is just as simple. If you are too lazy to go to your own profile and uncheck the notification box, rather than ON YOUR PERSONAL EMAIL ACCOUNT hitting the Report As Spam button, either : 1) Delete the email or 2) post your username/password here so someone else can go to your profile and uncheck the damn box since you are so lazy.

What do you think I've been doing?

For some reason, vBulletin stops e-mailing you about new subscribed threads after you un-check the notification option, but old threads that you were subscribed to when the option was checked, will continue to cause notifications to be sent even after you turn the notification option off. Dunno if it's a bug or a feature, but that's how it works.

THAT might explain it. THANKS!

i get them but all i do is delete them
its no big deal at all
people are causing a stink about it?

Anytime coldblue bumps one of those old threads that you still have the email option on, it sends one out.
