Question about the other boards like MM

Have any of you found that you cannot even mention elitefitness.com on any of the other boards without the post getting deleted? I keep hearing from members that when they post on another board -- even if it is a reference to an article or particularly interesting post here that it gets deleted right away. It's like elitefitness.com is a bad word or something. Try it on t-mag or MM and see.

When i went over to MM site and posted about www.elitefitness.com all it would show is this ******************** instead of showing the url. They are intimidated, to say the least. Most of the people over there do not know much about the fitness indusry. They bought a book by Bill Phillips and believe that they are the teachers of "body for life".

Their board system has a filter for bad words, and they must have put in our site's URL as a bad word.

Yep, MM don't like elitefitness....maybe we should go polute their board with massquantities.com
Another board which associates with MM is Xtreme-Forums, I dunno if they boycott elite too.....but, I don't like MM's supplements place cause they wanna charge me $35US plus other shit if I order from them.....it's bogus...

If they do indeed have a filter, we can change the spelling of our URL by one letter and give instructions in the post to correct it.
It will be in there until a moderator notices it manually... This is the old EMAIL Span prevention trick. :devil:
 
Well in the past I havn't had much luck with your board
Missng Posts, Account Deleted "7times", Password changed on my account "4" times, Slow moving, and many other problems.

But I have used your products several times, Protein, narabol, And your fat burner. I have used these products with great improvments.

Now that you have changed the board "for the better" It seems as though some of the problems have been fixed. I was extatic when I wasn't deleted for the 8th time. This was great!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Also The quality of the information found here is growing more in content and experience then I have seen anywhere in a while.

This board is a "melting pot of experienced, newbies, and those with medical information that help all who find the need to look for a disscusion board for the use of Anabolics and Androgens."

So keep up the good work here, I am glad you keep improving the board, I remember when It was only a message board with no mods, only vets who flammed away at those whom source posted. HHHAHAHAHAH Good Times.:p

Where shall I go from this point?

Well i will be here to learn and to help others with the knowledge that I have learned and researched myself.

I will be here to write a few articles fo rthe board.

I will be here to make a weekly diary post. With pictures trainning of the week and a diet that i will be following. Good or bad Everyone will see how I am going to jump back into the game from being in the hospital for allmost 2 moths.

Ahh they're just jealous that their board can't compete with this one. Nice job w/ the new look by the way. Must say that at first I was uncertain about it, but adapted fast and like where its heading.
 
dem n*ggas know that if some of their members come take a peek at EliteFitness then they won't return to their tight ass board.
 
Well the Finaplix board doesn't block out the name and we're the only board besides EF that matters ;)

A few days ago one of the moderators on Fitnessboard.com posted a url to one of the topics here on elitefitness.com so no problems with that board as far as I can see. I actually found this place from a reference over there.
 
I would guess its marketing. They try to control the access to the competition by not inadvertantly advertising for a superior product. They have advertisers to keep.
 
I just think the two boards have different styles appealing to a different clientele.

Elite is much more hardcore .

Depends on the mood.

Some people don't like to push the limit.

Elite does.

This is not putting either one of them down.

I don't mind pushing the limit.

Elite also seems to have a lot more traffic.
 
Well when you have the best who needs the rest. Screw 'em all if they are afraid of real competition!

I signed up there as some know last Friday as a joke under the name Plifter.

Well I got a PM right away when I went on from a mod who calls himself Mickey Knox(it says he used to be Patrick Bateman, my thoughts on this in a second) telling me that they wont tolerate my bullshit over there like Elite did. Well 4posts later(the last thread got deleted and was funny as shit) Plifter got banned for asking advice.

The joke was the advice given by the members was way more crude then the question asked. Freak daddy posted the link to Plifter's thread on MM yesterday, go to his thread and see if the Plifter thread is still up there.

Ok my thoughts on this mod Mickey Cock who Pm'd me.
I should have saved it because it was the biggest display of power tripping I have ever seen.

This guy names himself after serial killer(fictional ones) bwahahaha c'mon what kind of pussy names himself after a serial killer if only to make himself look tough or dangerous.And then warns me before I post. yep, I got banned from mmag, and I said fuck it, I won't even try - AND I CAME HERE RIGHT AWAY.

musclemag teen section isnt to bad,ive been going there a lot more lately because i use to be a member there and know the mods,good info for teens,not that elite isnt great but mm helps some of my needs as a teen

I appreciate your input and some of your more recent posts too.

Why is it always an "us versus them" mentality? These are places to learn.

Elitefitness has offered me a lot of information on a wide variety of subjects, including steroids, and the science behind them. I'd rather just read here then post, for the most part.

MMag is somewhere where I'm a much more active member, which has also offered me a plethora of information, both in diet, training, and philosophies.

Everyplace has its good and bad points, but I think you can take at least a little out of anywhere that you visit.

Why do sooo many members get banned over there?? Elite bans people too.. but not all the time, and even though some of the banned members are my friends.. I agree there was conflict.. I may not aggree about what they got banned for.. but it is not like they mentioned another site.. that is weak. I have never posted at MM.. nor do I wish to. If it is ok for some folks to be there, that is fine.. but I do not understand why they would when they could be here. I have some people here who are not fond of me for my political views.. but outside of that.. there are a great bunch of people here. I have met some really great people here.

Why would any board want that? It just disrupts the flow of GOOD information that could be coming in. Instead, the focus is on flaming, which is neither good for the board nor good for the business.

Yep, they ban mofos like crazy at that shithole. I got banned over there awhile back. I was respected by most and had a shit load of posts. (This was before they went to copying elitefitness.....chat rooms, etc).

If anyone was at that site about 2 years ago, then they sure as hell know that it is a piece of shit now.

1. Why it was that anyone that mentioned EF in their threads got deleted.

2. Why was there so many people banned for no logical reason.

Slanderous?? I think not. The truth is an absoulte defense to slander. If he had a reasonable reply, he would have posted it. He obviously did not.

His response was to delete the thread and ban me.

Does that sound reasonable to you??

Xtreme-Forums.com, which is now IronMagazine.com, are not affiliated with MuscleMagazine.com in any way, shape or form.

We do not boycott anyone, but if we did it would be mm.com, not Elite Fitness. Nor do we filter urls, that's rediculous!

I had not heard about triedia.com until now, but it looks like a good site. We ban someone only about once every 1000 years, and only with moderator input. We would never ban someone for being a triedia.com member or talking about a new site.

Thorazine, I think one reason our members do not care for your site is because you cannot even mention the words elitefitness.com there. Here, you have put musclemag.com in your signature. I hope you will come here and help post in the training forums. We welcome your input.

And, do any other sites have Karma :)

Why put teen moderator?

I moderate the teen section, and I don't pretend to be an expert in much of anything. I do, and try to pass on, what works for me.

Besides, if someone is reading my post and thinking "who the fuck is this guy, and why is he saying what he is" well, I'm a moderator of the teen section, and have an insight to some of the inner workings is all. Not doing it to brag, there are a lot of people a lot smarter then myself. True knowledge is the diversity of knowledge.

Game, when did I ever call myself a bodybuilding expert? When did I claim I knew more then, say, you for example? Never. Why am I a moderator? I operate with a clear head, think before I do, train seriously, have gotten great results, and have a little bit of knowledge that I can pass on to people my age.

It bothers me that you'd insult someone who age is still less than the amount of time you've been training over your entire life. Think about it that way.

I'm always willing to learn Game, and I don't knock others who share the same ambition, and who put in the time and dedication. You've always had sound advice, and I've followed much of it to great success.

But thank you for personally insulting me; I guess your true character has come out finally.

I put "teen moderator" to let you know where I stand in mmag.com, so that perhaps my comments wouldn't just be thrown out to dry with the dirty laundry. Sorry if it sounded that way, but it's very easy to take implications not intended in writing on messageboards ;)

Corn, I can't really speak for anyone, I'm not sure who did the banning, but the reasons I could possibly see it are as follows:

1) they saw possible intent to start a flame war
2) they knew who you were from other flame posts...

As for the other bannings, as it states in the disclaimer, they reserve the right to disallow service to anyone they see fit. The operation is run as it's seen fit, and steps and measures are taken to make sure it goes accordingly.

This is all theoretical though. I don't have the power to ban people, nor do I give much discussion towards whether it does/does not happen (unless asked). So, I can't give you a definitive answer.

Easy...the other boards don't like Elite for the same reasons that girlfriends don't like you to see hot babes.

I had/have no problem w/ you in general matt. My comments were directed in a general way regarding the bullshit that mods have to put up w/ sometimes. Most of the time, general members do not get to see the actual goings-on that occur because the mods do their jobs well. And if those comments were to be directed at anyone in particular it would certainly be TheGame. :rolleyes:

I used to be a mod over on mm.com(under a different user name) and yes Elite was a bad word.Elitefitness was constantly being brought up in the moderator forum.The mods over there thought of Elite members as a bunch of lowlife losers that only came to mm.com to cause trouble.If a member on mm.com posted anything that mentioned Elitefitness that post was to be deleted and that member was to be given a warning.I thought it was bullshit myself and retired my mod status.
 
Don't know, got to Elite and have stayed. Did join anabolics.com couple years ago, cost 99 bucks for a year. the post were all wack though, just a bunch of souce post. They had an awesome steriod information list though, sorry Goerge but better than yours, that came with membership. But by far Elite is better, and the members are cooler with more knowledge
