Question About Plat

Why is it that some newly registered members can only post if they are paid-platinum members, while others can register and post without paying for platinum (like Huge Brother/SofaJon, anabolicmd, the Republican and a host of other newbies on the Anabolics board)? All of the usernames I just mentioned were registered in April and May, so why are they immune to the platinum policy?

Probably cause they used to be Plat before so they need to renew their membership.

Does that just go for people who need to renew their plat, or can someone who is already plat register other usernames without paying for them to be platinum?
