question about ketostix...

I finally got some ketostix the other day, So far i have had readings of "small" amounts of ketones in my urine, I have heard that that's all you need and anything more than that and you are not drinking enough water. Anyhow, a couple of hours before I hit the gym tonight I decided to check and again it said "small" which I was quite happy with, the only thing I ate then was 4 eggs, I played squash for an hour and a half and then after that I did 30 mins on a cross-trainer (all in all I would say that i had a good cardio session) but when I got home and checked for ketones it said "trace", I would have thought I would have had a higher reading after a cardio session, anyone know when the best time to get an accurate reading is?

only excess ketones will be discarded in urine, sweat, etc..

maybe, since you just worked out, ketones were in heavier use trying to convert fat to glucose

just a guess
