First off, did your doc do a blood test before prescribing you HCG? If not, he's only guessing and your're only guessing whther or not your HPTA is out of balance. Morning wood is not a good indicator of your test levels.
10,000 ius of HCG in two weeks is not out of line for a conventional HCG therapy to restore the HPTA, depending on what your LH, FSH and Testosterone levels are based on a blood test.
I would suggest that you have your doc do a blood test if he hasn't. If he has and has prescibed you 10,000 ius of HCG over tow weeks, follow his advice, unless you have reason to beleive he's not qualified (ie he's not a endocrinologist or a urologist), in which case get another doc.
You might also check your sperm levels (ask the doc to get you tested). If those are low or non-existent, you may get him to prescibe clomid and/or arimidex as well.
