Question about hairloss & finasteride.

Well I was thinking about throwing finasteride into my cycle because i'm most likely experiencing an accelerated case of MPB. The question is could I use it durring my cycle and afterwards for about the length of PCT and drop it? The reason I ask this is because a buddy of mine experienced the same thing and only used it for a short period of time and he is fine now. He was running Eq and was convinced that was to blame so he dropped the Eq and started running finasteride(propecia). Now another thing i hear is if you discontinue the use of it you will experience more hairloss. Just looking for your guys input i'm going to order from AG shortly so a quick response would be awsome. Also what type of dosage would be used, i've heard 1mg ED would suffice.

thats good to hear. Say you discontinued the use of finasteride would it reverse and would you start losing hair once again? See becuase of the use of testosterone i'm experienceing an accelerated MPB so use on cycle may be beneficial right? When i am off cycle would it be ok to drop the finasteride since my DHT conversion will be far less than when on cycle????

From what I hear you will go back to experiencing your natural hairloss pattern if you stop finasteride AFTER you are back to natural test levels post cycle. Its also possible that you may get a little TE hairloss from stopping finasteride. Thats usually temporary though...it'll grow back.

I see but say you know the only reason you are experiencing hair-loss is because of the gear. So would using finasteride durring your cycle and discontinuing it after PCT be wise? Since your body will revert back to a sense of homeostasis. wont your natural hair growth pattern return to?

Mendo was right, if your test levels are back to normal, you would only experience your normal rate of hairloss. Finasteride prevents test from converting to DHT, and its the DHT that causes hairloss, so when you have more test in your system, more will convert to DHT, and when you have normal levels, you will have normal levels of DHT.

Finasteride will help with the test, but dbol is pretty harsh on the hair, and finasteride won't be able to help you with that. Your buddy who lost hair from eq was most likely suffering from TE. The reason his hair came back is probaby because he quit using eq, and not because of the finasteride. Finasteride has little to no effect on EQ hair loss.

Krishna, I always thought finasteride does help somewhat with dbol hairloss. Doesn't dbol convert to DHT to a limited extent, or at least somehow cause more test to convert to DHT?

I also heard that finasteride would help w/ dbol related accelerated MPB. I actually just picked some finasteride up to use in the last half of my cycle and PCT. I do not want to use finasteride continually but only on cycle that i need to, if it works.

Dbol itself is very androgenic, which is why it causes hair loss without any conversion. It doesn't interact with the 5ar enzyme, and that's why inhibiting that enzyme via finasteride is relatively useless in conjuction with dbol.

Has anyone with accelerated MPB tried Advodart (Dutasteride) with their cycles? Interested to see how people made out with that. I've been on Advodart for about 2 years now to combat MPB and it has helped out a lot.

Dutasteride greatly increases the risk for gyno and lowered libido.

I've heard/read that, but I haven't experianced any problems with gyno. Maybe a slightly lowered libido, but no gyno here?
