Question about fake tans

Nathan

New member
What do you guys use? Do you tan as well? Does it work well? How often do you apply it? Is it expensive? And, finally, whereabouts do you purchase it? Drug stores? Thanks team. Just curious what it's all about since tanning seems not so good for you (the skin cancer threads were scary).

It seems a little strange to me, I won't lie, but I'm more open-minded to it at the moment for some reason.

pro tan, google it there are alot of places that sell it

i know there is a specail way to apply but i am not sure, never competeded

Don't some people apply it year-round as well? I'm interested for competing purposes sure, but also just for general interest purposes.

o i dont know about that I think it is 2 dark to be put on all the time but i might be wrong.

I know there are products like that which gives a tan but just not as dark but I dont know which ones are good

i get a base then go once a week to stay a decent color.

altho not as much latley with shit going on

did u do your show yet btw?

dont tan bro, u look freakier white

nate depending where you live you can get into most tanning salons for about 7 bucks a session.. or 30 to 100 bucks a month unlimited..

after 1 session in a lay down bed for 15 minutes you will be fried.. go again a week later and you'll be dark and just maintain every other week.. :) ..

all that applicable tan shit is horrible and makes you look orange..

Protan for competition but not for everyday use. A good self-tanner is Coppertone- Endless Summer.

ask these guys
Oompa%20Loompab.jpg
where they got theirs

You could try StTropez sunless tanning product. Out of all the one's I've tried, it seemed to work best.

I prefer the Powder look for you, Nathan.

Thanks. So, a self-tanner is different than Protan? Do you JUST use Protan for comps or do you tan regularly as well?
Also, this Coppertone stuff, is it available at like Shopper's Drug Mart. Thanks again Miss24. :)

Smurfinator - I'm actually tired of being pale. I don't want to replace my paleness with vanity but I dunno. I don't want a dark tan or anything, just to not look like an albino is all. And to minimize the farmer's tan.

dood take it from another pasty, the only way for us to get tan is either months in the tanning bed or professional spray tan. anything else we'll be orange or blochie

You tried? Damn. ARE THERE NO OPTIONS?

tried self tanners most turned me orange.

tanning bed takes me 1 month to get a decent base. 2 months and i'm still light mocha.

professional spray tan is the only option with using the bed

dude at my gym uses pro-tan year round. it looks un-fucking-believably ridiculous!

high pressure satnd up beds have worked very well for me and i am pasty white too. just start low on the minutes, i got burned BAD starting with 7 minutes and its a 12 minute bed.

Isn't tanning supposed to be bad for you skin though? Is there no other way? The humanity!

yep yr right! Do not use sunbeds.. Its the worst thing for your skin.. It'll age you, yr skin will look dry.. well basically its the worst possible solution! Pro tan is good, it is too dark for everyday. You can go into a salon and have the threapists spray tan you instead

You stand in a booth with underwear (or not) and they spray you top to toe its always even and not orange but very natural looking.. Fake bake is also good! Do NOT use sunbed!!! :)

What's fake bake? Thanks for the response. Do you get the spray stuff at a regular tanning salon?

Nathan,

Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer, perfect year round solution. And you are correct on the skin cancer risks of tanning beds.

that ill agree with. ive used it before and it works GREAT!!!

A professional spray tan is the best idea, but tan towels are a close second.

just don't overdo it unless you're aiming to look like a Gotti boy

not always.. tried it a few times and you get streaks and smell like the solution til it fades.

Okay, so we've got Jergens and Coppertone to work with for year-round self-tanners then? I'll look into those. And Pro Tan for competitions. Thanks everyone. Any more?

Fake bake is another tanning cream.. Really good stuff, easy to apply and it doesn't streak.. Spray Tan is done at most salons, Its easier and lasts longer, always natural! Do you have any salons near you..?

I might be the whitest man alive, which is only accentuated by being bigger than the average cat. One coat of pro-tan only gets me to the not glowing anymore stage. Pro-tan once you shower off leaves a good color. If you are truly a cracker pro-tan will give you some color, if you were already dark it would probably be too much. If this tells you anything about how white I am, I had to put 7 coats on at my last show. I mystic tan most of the time, it works pretty well.

OMG you must be pale, lol.
My dad calls me Powder, I might be the whitest man alive. I'm not a big fan of my skin and it's lack of melanin. I think I'm gonna try the Melanotan II by AG Guys. I'm desperate!!!!!!

Neutrogena spray tan is the best drug store brand I have found. Really any neutrogena tan product is good IMO.

One of my gf's has the problem that most all sunless tanner make her look orange. I guess it depends on your skin tone. Anyways she swears by St. Tropez it is price but she says worth it. There is a Sephora in the Eaton's centre as well as Yorkdale.

Cool. I might give it a try but I may just tan. Mother fucker if only I weren't so lazy.

You can get the "tan in a can" at any type of drug store or even department stores.
Just because which ones you buy as they streak. And also will leave the palm of your hands brown, lol.
Also a suggestion is to check into health spas around.I know up here where I am at some of the spa's instead of having tanning beds have a room where you go in and a solution mists over you and then you are tanned! Check into it.
