Question about equipment?

What do you guys think about muscle stimulators. Like tens unit the toner belts on tv and all. I was wondering if it will help with toneing it seem to cause contraction so I dont see why it wouldnt work but I would like to get some more opinions before I start electricuting myself. Thanks guys.

Well my buddy plays football and his doctor gave him one and he offered to give it to me so money isnt the issue. Its wether it stimulate tone in the muslce or just helps nerve function? Thanks
