Question about DHT...

prostate issues have a lot to do with how estrogen is mediated in your body

I think it has more to do with Estro ( cumulative) versus dht itself

no proof though

yea, i read an article recently that they estro may be the cause in some manner of bhp--either way--i wih i could change-it out like a battery. i thin the sad thing is they really appear to be a but uncetain of the mechanisms...i blame george bush

I blame Esrtogenic pollutants and poor water supply

politics don't matter only sustainable pattern of production and consumption on a otherwise delicate orb of life we live on

Excess DHT is part of it though

ran proviron for a bit and a good run and it def had an impact

i think its a composite of both with possibly leaning toward one side or the other based on the hormone profile of the individuals and course history and back round

Quick query...Does anyone know what percentage of free test(bioavailable)is converted to dihydrotestosterone on an average?

Good question. It's different in everybody and not gauged in ngs, at least not in the traditional manner.

About 4% of total T converts to DHT, most of which attaches to the prostate and scalp. So why doesn't it always cause balness and BPH? Is it just men who have MORE? No; I have a theory on this. It's because so many people still don't know SHIT about how this works, why it converts why some converts to estrogen and some doesn't and how much of the damage is actually DHT and how much is estrogen. We're still in the formative stages of understanding how this applies. Everybody's guessing and whatever is being espoused now will be discredited in 10 years.

On a related note, only about 2% of total testosterone is in the "free" thus useable state. TWO FUCKING PERCENT. Now let's say someone has FOUR percent free T -- well, they'll most likely be able to grow more muscle naturally than some guy who only converts ONE percent even if that guy is on a gram of gear. Bitch ain't it?

There's only one known way to allow as much free T as possible and that's by lowering SHBG and there are a few substances which will do this but none more so than Avenacosides A&B. And that my friends, is the concept behind UNLEASHED. If you can make the most of your freeT, even raise it ONE PERCENT MORE, you will have FAR more potential for growing muscle and all the other benefits of increased T. It's so logical. so important and so simple.

Sorry for the long answer. I get carried away with shit like this.

Nelson Montana thanks alot for the info...But here's what I'm wondering...U hear all thes horror stories of Finasteride @ 1mg/day shutting people's test production down etc.It doesn't make sense to me because Finasteride is acting on the conversion enzyme and thus shouldn't effect the HPTA axis...The bottom line is I'm on RT @100mg/wk and starting to lose some hair so I want to stop it early before it becomes noticable. My natural T production shut down years ago so I guess I should be ok and not notice any muscle loss or libido loss....Any ideas?

Finasteride does not shut down T production. It stops DHT from forming, and that's bad IMO.

DHT provides libido, erectile function, muscle strength and hardness. And it prevents estrogen from forming. All good thins for the most part. It MAY have SOME effect on hair loss but it's my belief that if you're losing hair in your 20's, it's gonna go. Killing your dick to save a few strands of hair just doesn't make sense. Cut it short. Shave your head. Get a good piece -- ANYTHING, but the use of anti androgen drugs to slow down the inevitable.

Finasteride is the bodybuilders Kryptonite.

i read that the men of the current generation (not sure what that means, exactly) have up to 25% less serum test levels than 2 generations ago.....they had no conclusions, but very interesting

Thanks bro...I didn't know that DHT was behind muscle mass, libido etc.I always thought it was just free test on its own.I'll stick with Nizoral to kill the DHT on my scalp and Minoxidil spray to try and hold on to what I got for now.....
