Question About Cosmetic Surgery

Why do they say your an ideal candidate if your looking for improvement not perfection...Is this because those of us who want it are so ugly to begin with that no matter what you'll never be perfect?

I always wondered this

very few ugly people get plastic surgery, its used more for maintenance than improvement.

well i was looking at pictures of people getting their nose done, chin and cheeks enlarged and reshaped. Things that made them look much more different than they ever did..I wouldnt call that maintainance....maybe face lift or lipo..

where are you lookin at these pics bro?

I did a search for before/after pics for different procedures. Mostly things that would correct physical flaws people always had from birth etc etc.

people who get addicted to cosmetic surgery, and think it is a fix to make them perfect.

were talking people who look in the mirror and are neverhappy (sorta like body builders who wanna be bigger :D ) but they keep getting shit done to them and arnt happy.

so u shouldnt think it will make u perfect

I watched something on TLC about people who were addicted to cosmetic surgery. The people were horribly disfigured. They also talked about MJ's surgeries. Even though he said he's only had a couple, a reknown cosmetic surgeon said he's had at least10 different surgeries.

there are a few things I would change....Like 1 thing here 1 thing there...not 10 different cheek implant operations...

i am getting plastic surgery next month, sort of. i have prematurely droopy eyelids, called ptosis. the muscles that hold up my eyelids have weakened. i often look sleepy and people always tell me i look tired. drives me crazy!

to repair the opthamologist will shore up my eyelids thru surgery. this procedure is sort of an eyejob and often performed by plastic surgeons. opthamolagists do it too.

because it has the potential to affect my vision in a few years my health insurance has agreed to pay for it. the opthamologists office had to submit a request to cover because it can be considered cosmetic surgery.

i am kind of nervous but i am told it will make me look brighter and younger. :)
