ive been doin 5x5 for a bit now w/out a spotter. Do you think a 5x5 w/ a spotter is essential? Sometimes i feel like i am going to drop the weight and i dont get that last rep or 2 out that i might be able to w/out a fear of pinning.
do you think i should continue using freeweight bench etc and if i feel i might drop the weight on the last 2 reps, just continue w/ that weight for the next week?
or...
do u think i should use a smith machine and try my hardest to get every rep out?
basically, does using a smith machine for these big exercise really have big drawbacks?
