Quercetin - estrogenic properties?

Seastone

New member
I've been dabbling with quercetin supplements lately, mainly for allergies and inflammation. However, I stumbled upon some info suggesting quercetin might have estrogenic properties. That's got me concerned about its potential impact on testosterone levels, which isn't something I'm keen on messing with.

I've noticed some positive effects since I started quercetin, and it's been a solid alternative to antihistamines (Which gives me nasty sideeffects). But here's the deal:

Is there any concrete evidence showing that quercetin is estrogenic?

Could quercetin mess with testosterone levels in guys, and how bad can it get?

Any anecdotes or experiences from fellow fitness folks who've taken quercetin without feeling the T-level drop?

I'm not asking for medical advice here, just some straight-up insights, studies, or personal experiences about quercetin and its potential hormonal impact. I want to keep my health and fitness intact while enjoying the perks of quercetin, but I'm not willing to be in the dark about it.

Thanks for any info you can throw my way!

@Seastone I dont think any studies show quercitin is estrogenic directly but some studies show estrogenic boosts from it.

In a test tube study, quercetin was found to change estrogen metabolism in human liver cells in a way that increases estradiol levels and reduces other forms of estrogen. This effect is likely to increase estrogen activity in the body.

Though this means nothing really in the long run, your diet training will be the big key to estrogen so will other supports.

My question is why haven't you shared your diet training log with us? please do.

To really guide you we need more info, we need you to share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.

If you want us to really guide you, and we have 100s of years of experience between us, you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.

Please post a Log Journal asap for us
