Quads injections...

Quads injections are by far the most dificult for me, even more than Bi´s.....I always hit some litle nerve that hurts. Well now I need my quads, because I have some scar tissue on the other bodyparts....and I´m useing others. Any advice on how to reduce the chance of hitting a nerve?

2thicks web site....also relax...if you are uptight and nervous it will make your muscle twitch while the pin is in you, freaking you out, making you want to pull out early, and none of us like to do that;)

Use a sharp needle and hit the sides of your thighs, right where the tips of your fingers rest with your arms at your sides. I love quad injections. You can use two hands without turning yourself into a pretzel :)

Yeah. Sometimes it is pretty difficult to aspirate when you inject to delts or guads :D But i like bicep andd tricep injections too :)

I hit a nerve about 3 weeks ago in the very top of the thigh. Try to move to the side. Also, go to 2Thick's web site.

I always stand to see where I'm injecting and I make sure to keep the leg relaxed with all my bodyweight on the other leg. I use a 1" and have never hit a vein or nerve. Just make sure it's in the outer sweep (vastus lateralis) and finger tip length.

I sit in a chiar and relax...then use a 1 /12 pin...works well for me...I cannot do a tricep injection though, I want to, I stick the pin in and I cannot asperate with only one hand...shaky hands run in the famliy...the last time my gf tried to help with a shot she puked.haha;)

Cornellius,
I had the same problem. Unfortunately for me it took some pain to find just the right place for me... I would inject slightly up or down and try areas 1/2 from the last until I found a good range. Now I have an area about 2" long and 1" wide I have found comfortable to shot into. Weird If I get outside of that area, it brings on substantial discomfort, not disabling though... The bad news is staying in such a constrained area is going to lead to scar tissue quickly...

see if you can pull up a low table or another chair so that the leg you are shooting in is in the right position and fully relaxed. Also poke area with index finger in order to find comfortable spot to shoot, then immediatly swab and shoot.

You must have a sixth sense buddy!

Ive been doing quad injections for my entire eq/winny cycle and havent had any probs except this last injection I must have hit a nerve because it hurt like hell and bled when I took out the needle.. I put a new needle on and had no problem at all about an inch from the first location..

Im a little too scared about bi's because ive got a roadmap of veins..

I hear you there Cornellius, I used to be a solely quad man myself but as the ccs grew more I got used to sticking my glute. Now I am not going to go back to the quad again. Always as I inject I hit a nerve and my leg jumps up and also find it harder to push the pin in (23G)

The Glute is where its at :D

For me the glutes are definately the easiest, I could shoot their all day. However, I have scar tissue there now, so I always leak a little which is very upsetting. This never happens to me in the quads, I have found the best way is to sit on my bed, so that my leg is totally relaxed. When you are in this position, you can feel the meatiest part of the quad, it is about 1/3 of the way down on the side and halfway up to the center of the leg
