PWO shake - why not during workout?

My shake has 60g of waxy maize, 10g glutamine, 5g creatine, and 25g of PeptoPro protein from protein factory. I used to take this directly PWO and chug it. I'd follow that up with a hydrolyzed whey shake about 20 minutes later. The past couple weeks I've been sipping on my shake throughout my workout instead of chugging it afterwards.

Does anyone know if there is any science behind the PWO shake taken directly after all exercise or taken during the workout? I feel like I have more energy for my routine when I sip on the shake the whole time. Also I don't get the bloated stomach stretching feeling of chugging 20 ounces all at once like I do when I take it afterwards. I also get to take my 48g of whey within about 5 minutes instead of 35 minutes of leaving the gym since I have already downed my PWO shake during the workout.

Any thoughts/ideas behind whether this is a good/bad idea?

How do you like that Peptopro? It is supposed to be the shit.

Why not bump the wms up to 80g, but split the whole shake into two. Drink one half pre workout and then drink the other half pwo. This is what I am doing and with good results.

Some uses report gas if they consume WMS intra-workout, but otherwise I see your point.

Having said that, would consuming very small quanties of a high GI carb during the workout, be any different to consuming a low GI carb pre-workout that releases in a similar pattern across the workout?

Probably not, look at marathon runners, cyclists, and triathletes who consume carbohydrate gels mid event.

add 10 grams of whey isolate to 20 oz gatorade. drink 1/4 immediately
before training and sip throughout training session.

keeps insulin spiked and a constant flow of amino into muscle. staves off
exercise induced catabolism and promotes anabolism. it's also a very safe
way to effectively manipulate insulin to your advantage

:pgood stuff:p

creatine breaks down in liquid so if you add your water to it at the beginning of the workout and sip it for 1-1.5 hours til your done im not sure if the creatine will be very beneficial or not.. thats why i always assumed you chugged it

In all honesty I don't know how I can even tell whether its better than pure hydrolyzed whey isolate or not. It's supposed to absorb faster because its smaller in size and thats why I got it to mix with the waxy maize. But I don't notice any difference.

I will tellyou that it smells like SHIT. It also tastes like a combination of shit and medicine.
