...Have some of the Yohimburn DF, Glucorell and the T-rex......

I am going to be tracking bodyfat on a weekly basis starting tonight....I am looking to shed as much bodyfat as possible between now and Jan 15th.....I have a stage production during Feb and I want to give myself a couple of weeks to dial the water in.

Diet is going to be high protein, moderate fat and moderate/low carbs(75ish per day), with a re-feed on the carbs every third-fourth day.

Cardio - 500 cals per day on tread/elliptical 3x per week.....weights are one bodypart per day Monday-Friday.

I did a similar diet last year and want to see any appreciable differences.

By calipers, I hit 7.7%......my legs and chest were really cut up...my biggest pinch site was on the abs.....my abs looked 10-11%...legs and chest looked 5-6%

shadow, how much do you weigh and what do you want to get to as far as weight is concerned

Im at 213 right now......no certain weight in mind.

Im looking at 195--200 or so.

Bodyfat last night - calipered at 10.1%

Diet for today:

3 jumbo eggs
3 strips of bacon
3 sausage links
chicken pattie

10 Oz chicken strips
baked potato

4 tbs of peanut butter

8 oz ground round with baked beans

half bag of plain popcorn

1.5 gallons of water, unsewwtened tea

cardio - 540 cals in 32 minutes

Shoulders:

Laterals(side) - 4 x 35 x 12
Dumbell press - 3x70x12
Shoulder press machine(feel set) 4x125x15

So

Diet = 8
Cardio = 10
weights = 9.....

0.8 times 1.0 times 0.9 = .72

So I get a 72% for the day

Actually, it should be [(0.8 + 1.0 + 0.9) / 3] * 100, which puts you at 90%.

20% for math skill though, bor.

nope......you dont divide them...you multiply as it really shows the effect of having an .8 or a .9 as opposed to all 1.0....its the way i track my progress because, I know for me...a 90% is almost perfection, ie 1.0, 1.0, 0.9

You are doing it percentage-wise, right? Then you need to find the average (mean, if you will), and multiply that shiznit by 100 to get your percent.

Second grade math, bor.

Well, second grade in the Soviet Union, anyway.

You dont get it.....a bad day diet wise will affect your training....etc.....each category affects the others.....

Right. But the total of all the factors cannot be less than the worst one, because the other ones bring the total up. See what I'm saying?

Its not a total...nor an average....

Its like the odds of flipping heads twice in a row......0.5 times 0.5

Same thing here

Nah bor, I mean individual site measurement. Like, "Abdominal - 10mm, pectorial - 7mm, calf - 6mm, thigh - 8mm", etc.

What's the logic behind these ratings?

Just curious 'cause I hadn't seen this before.

Its that each category has more than an additive effect on another.

Its my personal way to keep score.

I have had bi-lateral pneumonia for 3 weeks, and it really has affected me as I havent been able to train nor keep any food down....I have lost down to 201

Sounds interesting, can you explain a little more on how you decide what "score" to give each category, or is this method posted elsewere so that i can read about it?

Thanks

If I think that I gave 90% for the day on diet......then that is 0.9....training might be 80%...it would be 0.80.......cardio mighjt be a perfect 100%...It would be 1.00

so.....

.9 times .8 times 1.0 would be an overall 72%.

......it magnifies each % more than would an additive effect

So it is a socore/rating of how good or bad "you" feel the category was for the day, I think I get it.

If it is an average that you are trying to get then I beleive Ohashi was right, you add the numbers divide by 3 and multiply by 100.

Thanks for the feedback.

Do you people not understand that he does not want an easy average like that? He pushes himself and by multiplying each decimal it is much harder to achieve a higher score.

Is it that hard to understand?

Exactly......because a bad nutrition day will adveresly affect your training

Update......the sickness has hurt my progress....but I am down to 203....no bf measurement b/c the same technician I have been using was not there...upper 4 abs are there....roll of poudge around the belly-button that hopefully will go soon.

Strength is good....Hit 315 for 9 on bench and shruged 455 for 12 is good:

201.....again - tech is out but I got another tech to do the bf pinch....came out at 9% so......Im taking that with a grain of salt.

Delts, traps chest and arms looking good.........holding a layer of water...form what I have no idea........the Yohimburn DF is helping that roll though

shadow, i am curious if you could breakdown your diet a little more, such as how many calories, protein and fats do you eat per day and what does your refeed look like. thanks

Ok......ALL this week my meals were identical.

Totals:

18 oz chicken breast
10 oz sirloin
4 oz of cashews/peanuts

...thats about2000-2200 cals with 200-210 grams of protein and 115-120 grams of fat....negligible carbs
1.5 gallons water

Refeeds:

protein/fat levels stay the same

but I typically add 500-600 grams of mixed carbs over a 36 hour peroid.....70% complex and 30% junk(ice cream, etc)

no..as I am not cycling my carbs - just a carb-up every 6-8 days

carb up the last 2 days....veins everywhere....scale weight went up 5 pounds - lol

post that pic, you lean, ripped sumnabiatch!

yep...still on it.....upper 4 are visible all day.....obliques come and go as I hold water....I took some stills with my 35 mm....Ill try to post up in a couple of days when I get them back

Sure.......I typically keep carbs to 30-50 form morning(creamer in coffee and the rest are complex) until training (late afternoon)..then I will have another 30-50 or so(fast acting) after training.

I carbed up for 3 days and scale weight shot back to 197.......my pics are "in transit" from the developer

As soon as they come in - Ill post.

tHereisnt a local professional place to do them so they were sent off.

My pics were lost.

I have a few in my gallery but no recent ones.
