purple pants, day 6

my boss has worn the same pants, for the 6th day in a row (not counting weekends. I don't know what she wears then).
today she had that crazy european hair that looks like it was definately not washed today, but was slept on wet and that's it.

I met the ceo today, but didn't know it because he wore jeans and a sweatshirt. This business of everyone dressing super casually in work is nice, but confusing.

well i'm working, but not working hard. its... ok. i mean, its good, just... weird.

today i looked in the department's "suggestion box" and found a note saying "the new manager has great T and A" and "lets have a co-ed bathroom".
I guess that's where the nerds really let loose, because getting any of them to have a conversation is like pulling teeth.

I sell technology to the nerdiest of fuggin nerds...

My Job = Be a Hoochie Hero to them.... be the guy they wish they could be.

I am fuggin Technical Nerd, I'll school them technically, but I am not fat and chics react to me, in fact.... I can even talk to them. Get these fuggin dorks out to a happy hour... shit... they are like putty in my hands...

and maybe they are a bit on the shy side, I'm sure in time they will come around...at least it sounds like some might have a personality even if hidden at times.
With your personality, I am sure you can break them. :)

i've been trying- no luck at ALL. they are cooler to me than when i first started, but still cold. I'm trying to be nice and helpful, but not annoying, and not out of the realm of "manager".
we'll see. I think they are all mad that I was hired. I mean, not me personally.

if that's true, i should be glad that i can do that at my age (i'm 74).
ordinarily, i would feign wrongness, but if you saw my coworkers, you'd understand why i think i'll just accept this explanation.
 
marketing dept = nerds? i thought people in marketing were usually the hot, not-genius types? nerds certainly didn't major in marketing at college.

It hasn't really been that long so there is still a chance....they may resent you for now but once they get to know you I am sure they will come around. I have been around people that I know don't like me for one reason or another but had nothing to do with me.....I just chip away little at a time on them..they can't help but love me!!! :)

When I worked in downtown Chicago there were a lot of european bricklayers and laborers who didn't wear deodorant or have the best hygene. There was one guy inparticular from Poland who was smelled ripe at 6:15am. He worked by himself alot.
 
Maybe it is the only pair of work appropriate pants that she has. ???

LMAO!!! I worked with several companies that had mostly polish and hispanic employees in Chicago. There's a polish community in chicago where most of the guys I worked with lived. Go to some of the titty bars around here and 80% of the hot busty blondes are either Lithuanian or Polish and extremely hot.
