puppy loses the balls this week!

my parents found out their dog had a gf so he's getting the "procedure" in the next week or two lol

WTF....don't do it. It's just wrong on so many levels.
When an armed burglar breaks in, and the dog is trying to decide if he should risk his life defending you, he's gonna think "why the fuck should I put my ass on the line for the prick that took me to get my nuts lopped off?"

Actually if you're not planning to breed a dog (which one shouldn't do IMO without full genetic workups done to make sure they're perfect), they should fix them. It's healthier for the dog in the long run. There is a reduction in risks of cancer and in males in particular can stop a lot of unwanted behaviors.
Even breeders spay/neuter once their dog is done with breeding potention. Anyone who competes with dogs will tell you that it makes for a better pet.

well our neighbors have an unfixed female and he thinks she's aweful pretty... that could lead to some issues down the road. We also never plan on breeding him... there are already young pits being put to sleep all over the place, to breed more is just furthering the numbers that will be euthanized due to overpopulation. IT will ALSO be nice to not have him humping couch cushions whenever possible

Let him have at the neighbor's dog...he'll have no use for your couch cushions anymore then. What do you care if he knocks her up? It's not as if they can collect 'puppy support' from you or anything. I say let fido nail her every chance he gets.
