so wtf wsa that? Is thomas jane trying to get them to reboot the punisher franchise for the 3rd or 4th time?

which he's got to be pitching to the studios. I dunno, i didn't like him much as the punisher, but this could have been some other kind of new character. By making him the punisher they setup the old comic book paramaters in which he kind of fails. But if they had made him his own character, kind of like Neesons character in Taken, they could have made a couple movies from it.

Good clip. Extra-dark and brutal is the way to go, and anything to avoid formula. The violence didn't come off quite right, though.
I actually liked Jane as the Punisher. The Ray Stevenson version not so much. The Dolph Lundgren version, of course...well. Yeah.
Anyway, I'd rather Jane in a new version over anyone else that's done it thus far.

i agree just because everyone else gets up there and immediately starts blowing cock all over the place. It would also help if the movies were written better i suppose.
It's amazing how difficult it is for Hollywood to get Punisher right. That's why I think Man On Fire as an homage to the Punisher.

physically the last guy had the look...but the writing sucked and he didn't help as soon as his trap started moving.
