Pullups with hands close together, and palms away

Just because I am using a grip that is not widely accepted does not make it a bad form. For instance,a bad form is when a person jerks upward during pullups, and does not pull himself straight up - thats my definition of a bad form. It felt incredibly comfortable for me, and I have no doubt that I can work up to +90 lbs strapped to me during this month for reps.

Well maybe "bad form" wasn't the right terminology bro. If it works for you, then hit it.

Exactly. Its just a variation on a theme, not bad form.

I do a mixture of wide-grip palms away, medium-grip palms away, medium-grip palms facing, and close-grip palms facing. All have their place and uses :)

Does anybody use the close parallel grip handle? I guess I would be talking about the pulldown? How is that going for you?

I always found that doing pullups that way bro, was kind of ineffective since it is almost impossible to get up high enough to really squeeeeeze the back. Your face will hit the parallel bar first. Luckily for me, my gym has a pullup bar with that variation added. I do them al the time, and done that way, they are VERY effective. My personal pullup rep-record was with that particular grip.
