Great exercises for the glutes, hams and hips

Do you do it ?

The only issue is that there is usually not enough plates in the cable/pulley (mine can only handle 150 pounds and I'd like to use more :) )

don't have access to a pulley system thingajic so haven't ever done them. next time i get a trial membership to the gym i'll give it a shot

try doing them with a straight leg itll hammer the lower back..

i pin plates to the weight stack ours only goes to 190 and its way to light

Excellent exercise. I prefer them to stiff-legged deadlifts because pullthroughs stress the lower back less, and are less equipment intensive.

I do them all of the time, sometimes on both Max Effort and Dynamic Effort due to working out at a gym with no equipment... that is useful.

Can do them off of seated row machine if it is low to the ground, which I don't have at my gym, therefore have to them off of cable cross-overs, but have to walk out as far as I can with the cable to get the most tension.

You guys do pull throughs with straight legs or slightly bent knees?

I personnaly prefer a 10 degrees to preserve my patella

I don't know the degree, just enough slack to not have my legs locked out. I get a better squeeze on my hams this way.
