Puberty Gyno

guys, when i was 13 or 14 i went through puberty. I got little lumps under my nipples and never knew what the hell they were. They eventually went away with time, so I'm not worried. My dad had the same thing happen to him at that age, but he had to have one removed. I also knew many many friends that it happened to so it seems very common to me. Just give it a little time and maybe it will subside to nothing. Good luck!

my son has it too (15). Has had it over 6 months. Took to adolesent endocrinologist who did nothing. Was wondering if nolvadex would help. He never juiced and does not smoke weed ( I piss tested him becuase I knew weed can give you gyno).

I had the same problem when I was around 13-14.
I started bodybuilding at the age of 16. Went on a cutting diet and leaned down to 7%. It got rid of all puberty gyno that was there. Never had a problem since.

I had pubescent gyno from the age of 12-15 years old. It completely disappeared and its never reoccurred... despite 4 years of moderate AAS use in my late 20's.

well, depends on his body type (i.e. weight, whether he's athletic or fat) and how severe it is. My suggestion is that he should sweat it out a couple of years since he is only 16 and his body will still be going through some major changes - he should do some lifting and cardio and that may do it if he has mild gyno.

If there is a lot of fatty/glandular tissue in his breast area still after the couple of years, then he'd have to see a plastic surgeon to get rid of it and have it sucked out and contoured accordingly. A good resource is gynocomastia.org, it's a forum just like this one. However, like i say, he is young - so the surgery isn't a good idea yet. Wait till his body settles a bit so that his gyno doesn't recur in his 20s.

Hope this helps.

Not much you can do about it. Sometimes it goes away, other times it will not.

PS - delete all of the other duplicate posts you made on this subject

I first had signs of gyno when I was in 6th grade... it was very humiliating... my nipples were big and puffy... they stuck out about an inch. I had them until I was around 24 years old... I had to have surgery... it was the only way... unfortunately, it won't do him much good to get the surgery now... as the docs didn't want to operate on me at 14 and stuff... said my body chemistry might just cause them to regrow.

:(

It's tough

BTW... this was my first Merge job... how'd I do? :) LOL

My suggestion would be to get him into a high energy sport. My brother and I played Ice Hockey since we were 5 yrs old. My brother was always a bit pudgy and I was always lean. However he nor I never had any problems with anything of the sort.

Get him into track, football, hockey. Something high octane. (no tennis, chess etc nothing wrong with them but just wont get his body moving enough)

I also have had the same thing since I was about 11 or 12. It is embarrassing as hell, but there is little you can do about it. I cut down to a low bf% and it mostly disappeared, but it came back once I started bulking. I'm 19 now and still have it, but I'm doing some hardcore dieting and NYC/EC/Clen to speed myself along. Luckily for me most of it is just fat, with some softer glandular tissue.

I would not recommend Nolvadex to anyone who isn't finished growing. Nolvadex use will probably stunt growth. I have read on many occasions that growth stunting from nolvadex is very likely for a number of reasons, but mainly the reduction in IGF-1.

shit, i didnt know it happened to that many other people!...i remember when i was 13 my nipples got swolen and hurt like hell, i had no idea what it was so i went to the doctor, he said its a very common part of puberty and will go away, and it did

The best advice is: Don't worry about it. It happens to a lot of people including me. In my case it didn't go away but it hasn't bothered me anymore than the acne I experienced around the same time (as a matter of fact I would have picked it over the acne anyday).

Yeah, got it. I was very lean, but my tits were bigger than most girls my age. I also got the hard lumps. I didn't get help from docs, and was not knowledgable about things like androderm etc.

The lumps went away, but the fat stayed partially. Fina seems to help to get rid of it.

Thanks for the responses. My boy is lean and he plays high school hockey. They run him pretty hard. He played last year as well. His diet sucks. He refuses to eat protien and loves to eat crap - soda, chips, carbs, carbs carbs. And this is in spite of me hounding him since the day he could understand to eat protien. He lifts on occasion but nothing serious.

I had it when I was about his age but it was very very minor. The thing that concerns me about my son is that he is not getting masculine charactoristics. His free T is boarderline low. The males on his mothers side were not the most masculine guys in the world.

I guess the advice I take away from here is keep exercising. What do you think about zinc??

DO worry about it...Puberty Gyno is genetic and hormonal..all the cardio and dieting in the world WILL NOT get rid of it...for those of you who had some puffiness and growth that went away you did not have full fledged Gyno. Not sure what you had, probably some hormonal imbalance while going through puberty that corrected itself. Having gone through this myself I would strongly suggest consulting a plastic sugeon that specializes in Gyno removal surgery. I used a Dr. Nadler, very popular here in NY when I was 22. Unfortunelty I lived with it from the time I was 13. Not sure what the recommended age to have the procedure done is. Under 15 is probably too soon. 17-18 might be a better time and it will also give you time to evaluate whether or not it is full fledged Gyno or a temporary chemical imbalance.

Jeter I don't know if your agreeing with me or disagreeing but the point is I STILL have the lumps and there is no reason in hell for me to have ever gotten them taken out. I went to a doctor and he said its common. If it gets out of hand then of course you may need some common sense to figure out what to do next.

I've got em too

Dude I got a pair of those shits growing on my chest too, and its fucking more embarassing than a limp dick at a gangbang. One of them is hard and there year round. The other seems to come and go at odd times. The permanent one is hard with a bunch of fat over it, the other one is usually just fat but gets hard once in a while. I had em since I was 13 or 14. No amount of diet has done shit for em. Any of you guys think that perhaps I can get my medical insurance to cover removal. They hurt sometimes and breast cancer is a big problem in my family (though not usually in the men, we all die of other cancer sooner). My mom has lumps in her breasts (or so she tells me when I'm trying to fucking eat breakfast), and my grandma had full blown cancer as did her mother and two of her sisters. What do you think? DO I have a shot at removal on the company dollar? If not will the fact I have to work with mild estrogens (Clobetasol Propionate and others) from time to time count as an excuse to write it off? I havent juiced in like 2 years as of next month so I wanted to get this looked at while I'm clean. Thanks for opinions.

Oh and Specster, good luck with yer kid. Hopefully he wont have to go through all the teasing and bullshit I did about it growing up. If you dont tell him it's gyno he might not be self concious of it for some time, so if you havent pointed it out yet, then dont. Goodluck
