Actually, I am waiting for my friend to get here to help me hook it up. It came with a free movie in the box. Talladega Nights. I think it is because they are trying to push the Blue- Ray disk movies. Geeez. Remember, back in the day, u got a free game in the box when u bought a system? I only have one controller. The store didn't have any to buy. I will keep u updated.

Actually, none. I was ther about a half hour after the store opened. There were 2 other people shopping, but my friend casually walked to the back and said, " I'll be back in a bit. I'm gonna go grab that one thing u ordered"HumanTarget said:

If you like Resistance, Gears of War was reviewed higher, developed longer, uses a better engine, has better graphics and could not even play on the ps3 due to low memory of the PS3.
Most people owned ps2's therefore they are loyal to Sony. Researching proves that the xbox is superior when it comes to gaming. Other functions the ps3 has an advantage, but not gaming. 2 years down the road that may change, but not now. Most people are buying the ps3 because they are biased and/or must have the hottest new thing.
Let us know what you think of it once you hook it up.

I will let u know what I think. I don't hate my XBox, I just think it would be better if they would release the really good games when the systems first come out. If they would have released Gears of War and Fear when the 360 was first released- I would have started a local fan club. This may remind u of me being a woman.... but I thought the Lego Star Wars game was da shiznit. Sorry.alien amp pharm said:

Otherwise you are going to spend a lot of money on BluRay dvd's when a normal dvd with upscale would look the same.
(remember you will also have to buy a HDMI (or DVI if the ps3 uses that) cable to view 1080p. Those things aren't cheap)

1080i? i hope your tv does 720p as well, cuz for some reason ps3 is having problems with 1080i and downscaling it to 480p
but if you have 720p it should play it at that.

I'm sure you're nice but you have no business owning/playing a video game system if you have no idea how to plug it in. It's not like you have to assemble the PS3 yourself with a screwdriver and soldering iron.

True story...
Yesterday I was running into Best Buy to purchase 5 power strips (I'm still setting up my new house). I was on a 15-minute time budget.
So i'm blowing down an isle and there is a store employee standing there with a pallette that's empty save four boxes left. He and I make eye contact and he says "They sent us four more ps3's than we expected. Want one?" I said "sure, but I have to be in an out of here in 15 minutes and I need power strips." Well, turns-out they escort people to the cashiers with their ps3's for fear of violence, so a store employee walks me to the power strips with the ps3, and then walks me to the dedicated ps3 check-out line. I was in-and-out of the store in well under 10 minutes with a shiney new ps3.

Gears of War lays waste to anything PS3 will offer at least til MGS4. Zelda for Wii is hands over fist better than PS3 too. So there.

I bought the XBox 360 and PS3 before a bunch of people for 2 reasons:
1. I was lucky enough to have the hook-up
2. My hubby and male friends were drooling over it.
I play them off and on for about 10 minutes at a time when we first get the systems but then I get bored. Sorry. Feel free to laugh. I just can't get into it. I DO think the effects are cool. That's probably why I do spend a few minutes playing when we first get the games but they can never keep my attention. I guess I'm kinda strange. The only competitive game I like is the crossword in the daily paper. Myself and 3 others race(every damn morning, 7 days a week) to see who can be the first one to call the others and say it's finished. I know im gonna lose a TON of cool points for that lil' tid bit of information BUT that's MYWAY. That's just how I roll. Sorry.
I am usually VERY competitive but not about video games. Although, I do support the passion for gaming. Some peeps get so HYPED over the whole thing. It's fun to watch.

Zelda starts off slowly, getting you use to the controls and game play. I am just now to the adventure parts and received my sword, slingshot, and lantern. I am ready for the action to begin.
