Proud To Be American

I left home this morning and drove up the street. I smiled when I saw that nearly every house on my street has the American flag displayed.

I drove to Jersey City this morning to run some errands. Most of the roads are open now so I took the Pulaski Skyway to get there. When I reached the highest point I could see the NY skyline and the dust and smoke coming from where the towers were. It was the first time I looked at it with my eyes instead of on tv so I couldn't keep from choking back tears. When I got into town I drove on some streets that have a direct view of Manhattan. It didn't occur to me to bring my camera- I will next week.

I am proud to be in this country and those responsible WILL get theirs.
