Protein!!

I've been working out for maybe like 2 months. And without any supplements, So i decided to buy some protein. I know that i am suppose to drink it immedietely after my workout. But what about my off days when im not working out? Should I drink it? If so what time of day? How many per day?

let me know thanks :)

ps. I also heard its good to go 1 month on protein and 1 month off protein so ur body doesn't depend on it.

Well your friend is completely wrong, protein is the cornerstone for building muscle. Anyway, make sure you consume 2g of protein for every one pound of bodyweight and make sure that your daily total calorie intake is much smaller than than your daily calorie output. In other words, eat a ton.

Also, if "taking time off" of protein were true, you would not be eating too much and BB's would be saving a lot of money.

2 grams per lb of body weight is overkill. a 200 lb guy doesn't need 400 grams of protein if he wants to grow.

1.5 grams per bodyweight is plenty.

I weigh 213 and I am growing off of 300 grams a day.

From my personal experience it is not overkill. Also, I am in no way saying that anything under that will not allow growth. Know what I mean gene?

I guess I should have said "What works best for me is..."
