protein supplement question...please keep here

i just value the opinions of a lot of people on the anabolic board...i decided to get more protein, i needed to start drinking a shake immediately before bedtime...i picked up the designer whey time released with glycerlean...what do u guys think of this...does the idea seem legit?
 
designer isn't that great...they have a nighttime formula at Protein Factory that is probably a lot better.
 
I recomend a steak pre-bedtime if you desire a very anabolic slow absorbing protien, that will not cause a large insulin response.
 
Honestly the idea of pre-bedtime shakes or mrp's is rather silly, and a ploy to make money by the suppliment industry. Real foods offer the best choices for this purpose.

Agreed! I know I can still feel a good steak digesting for hours after eating it.
 
yeah, i usually just have some cottage cheese, or maybe some eggs and some meat before bed.

protein shakes are just a matter of convenience for me...
 
I refuse to consume more than 200g of proetein per day... just not interested in jumping through those protein hoops....
 
I also prefer cottage cheese and real foods like tuna or bran if I am going to eat late over a shake or protein bar. I do consume shakes usually 2 a day with a tablespoon of flax seed oil and whey protein added.

For me this is better than big macs and fries and such.
