I'm fairly lactose intolerant, so my current preference is Nature's Best Low Carb Isopure (the dutch chocolate variety). It's expensive, but perfect if you have issues with the lactose found in most protein powders and other products (like dairy). (No more incidents in which your stomach is filled with gas like a basketball or feels as if it's doing flip-flops like a pancake.) The dutch chocolate version tastes nice (I haven't tried the other, berry-inspired flavors) and all the Isopure powders have a high amount of protein per serving (2 scoops = 50g of whey protein and little to no carbs)

Before I learned about Isopure, I used Optimum Nutrition's (ON's) 100% Whey protein. It's economical, gives plenty of protein per serving (I think it's around 30-40g) and the chocolate flavor tastes good. (It does contain lactose, though. For supps, I've always preferred chocolate flavors to the others I've seen).

^^^good advice ISOpure is very good for you its very high quality. I think I pay $32 at my local store which isnt bad. I mix 1 scoop dutch chocolate isopure with 1 scoop ON creamy vanilla Pro Complex...

Isopure is fine and you're on a budget. It's good for the price but it's nothing amazing -- just a basic decent tasting food source. If you want a drink to really do something you have to step it up.

Monster Milk is a souped up version of Muscle Milk and it's pretty good -- maybe the closest thing to BIG BLAST, but it doesn't contain superplasma serum and it's 40 bucks a can!

I am in e-mails with trueprotein about their new Beef Protein Isolate. I am getting as much info as I can.

From what I understand thus far is that it is basically powderized beef, and then the protien is isolated to the finished product.

Different from Super Plasma Bovine, Beef collagen protein or lean beef aminos.

And it is $10/lb like any high quality WPI.

I don't know much about it, but I am hoping this is going to be really good.

Ehhh beef? Not sure how tasty a beef-shake would be lol. Egg albumin is the best, try for a powder that has a mixture of casinate, whey isolate, and egg albumin. Mixture of slow, fast, and super high-quailty:)
La Brada ProV60 is my fave, though pricy

From what has been reported, the flavor is pretty decent actually. There is a little bit of sodium in it, but that's it.

Hey, even if it tasted like dog crap, if it works way better than whey I'll use it.

protein factory.com super plasma bovine you can build your mix you want on the site or you can buy the raw powder and make your own at home. i buy the raw powder and make my own.

BEEF protein? Yuck! Why?

Super plasma protein works on another level. It isn't just a protein source. It's essentially a fully applicable form of amino acids which enter directly into the bloodstream. That can make a HUGE difference in terms of how much can actually be turned into muscle. (Depending on when it's used, how much, and how much is needed. i.e. how hard you train). Since BIG BLAST also contains aminogen, nitric oxcide and hydrolyzed sugars it's instantly absorbed so none of it is wasted. So all in all, it's actually a very good bargain.

Yeah, but it's $35 a pound for bovina plasma(plasma isolated cow's blood), and Big blast is $14/lb and the serving size is 75 grams for 44 grams of protein, vs a 30 gram scoop with 28 grams of protein. Price per pound for actual grams of protein is ridiculously high. Affordability is important and it's not exactly affordable.

Everybody is saying "Ewww" and "Yuck" to beef protein. WTF? It's beef! Beef is the protein everybody covets to have. To build mass, what is number 1? Beef protein.

And It's not ground up beef jerky if that's what you are thinking. Read some of the reviews around already. People say the taste is pretty good. Well, I guess we'll find out. I'm going to try some. TrueProtein makes quality stuff, and so does ProteinFactory.

If it turns out to be real good stuff, everyone is going to want some. If it is superior to whey, which beef protein is definitely superior to whey, I am using it if the isolate end product turns out to be really good.

Like I said, I don't know a whole lot about it, and in a few weeks more info will be available.

BUT IT'S NOT ABOUT TOTAL GRAMS, IT'S ABOUT USABLE GRAMS. IN THAT REGARD, YOU GET MUCH MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK FROM THE SPP. BIG BLAST ALSO CONTAINS CROSS FILTERED WHEY AND WHOLE EGG SO IT'S A SUPERIOR PROTEIN ALL AROUND. YOU CAN BUY SOY OR WHEY CONCENTRATE AND GET MORE GRAMS BUT YOU'LL EXCRETE 99% OF IT.

YEAH, WHEN IT'S BARBEQUED! NOT IN A MILKSHAKE! : )

IT MAY BE OKAY. BEEF IS A VERY SLOW DIGESTING PROTEIN SO IT WOULD HAVE ITS PURPOSE. I JUST LIKE GETTING MY MEAT PROTEIN FROM MEAT. I CAN'T GET CROSS FILTERED WHEY OR SPP ANY OTHER WAY BUT THROUGH SUPPLEMENTATION.

There's a lot of buzz about this. I'm waiting for more info as well. I would love to reduce my whey intake and replace it with lean beef protein. I would still use whey PWO of course.

I wouldn't go so far as to say you excrete 99% of other
proteins.

Cross filter/cold filtered/Microfiltrated/Ion Exchange; tomato/tomoto.

hahahaha. Well, if you ground up some beef in a blender, it would taste nasty. Beef soup. This isn't the case. Again, people that have tried it already say it tastes pretty good. And when they said "good" it meant it was comparable to whey in taste, not to a piece of dog turd, lol.

I'd rather get it from a steak too. But for extras in between, this mixed with whey is muy bueno. say for breakfast usually goes go with 2 scoops of whey. Since whey spikes amino levels, this is good. But, add in a slow digesting scoop of beef protein, bam you have longer lasting amino levels from a superior source than casein.

I'll let you know what I find.

TPs Beef iso looks extremely promising and very versatile. I don't know if you remember the K message I sent you about oohhh....6 months ago lol, but it was to be on the look out for this.

TP is also about to start making soups using the Beef iso for broth. 50g of protein per bowl sounds good to me. Add in some chicken, rice, and veggies and you are good to go. I know when I am bulking it is hard to get all those meals in when you just can't eat anymore. This is going to help me tremendously.

DC on Beef Protein Iso......

This is a product that has never been made before....(ever)

We stumbled across something in looking for something else we were making....but we had to take what we stumbled upon and see if it would work for an application and send it through a spray drying, agglomeration and mixing process to make it into beef protein isolate.

It has the highest protein percentage of any protein we have ever come across.

Dont confuse this product with anything else thats out there including beef plasma, beef extract or collagen beef......its an entirely different entity.

Entirely.

I'll put it in simple terms but this is how it is made and I am going to be somewhat vague because we have had other ideas stolen and I dont need this one stolen....think of the leanest cut of beef there is that is cut off the bone, when that steak is processed there is still incredibly lean tissue left on that bone it is cut off.....throw that lean beef tissue away? No......it is sent thru a liquid process where virtually any and all fat rises to the top, is skimmed off, bone removed and then the beef at upwards of 96% and higher is spray dried into a protein powder......without the beef smell or taste.

So the question I want to ask the bodybuilding community is

If you had the choice of using milk (whey protein) to build muscle tissue or eat a steak (beef protein isolate)....what is your choice?

So im giving you whatever choice you want....

TPC on Beef Protein Iso......

would love to see what product they are referring too. remember we didn't reinvent the wheel, beef is beef any way you cut it, but what i can say, is our process has not been done before, and if it has we'd be highly surprised, actually shocked. again, this is not a collagen protein, not bovine plasma protein (where the red blood cells are removed from blood) and certainly not a beef byproduct protein (bone, gelatin, etc), this product is derived from lean muscle tissue from beef.

Yep.

Sometimes if I can't simply eat anymore, I will throw chicken in a blender, blend it up and drink it. Tastes like chicken soup. Don't binge it though, it will trigger your gag reflex.
