I have been incorporating protein shakes for breakfast about 2-3 times a week. This is usually when I leave the house in a rush in the morning and have no time to cook my oatmeal and eggs.
The protein shake has the following.
Carrots
pinapple
mango
and 40g of protein.

is 12 oz
now my question to you is: is this good??? usaully 2 hours after i drink the shake I go and lift weighs.
Would drinking this would slow down my results.??
The reason I ask is that according to what I have been reading in this board, fruits are a BIG NO...
Need to see what you think......
Please

There is a lot of fructose in that shake with all the fruits..personally I avoid fructose like the plague.

Are you adding the fruit for flavor or carbs? Why not try some different flavors of crystal light added to your protein…no cals and obviously no carbs….a good pre workout shake would be some whey, added to water or crystal light or buy some flavored Maltodextrin or dextrose, try twin labs hydra fuel or ultra fuel powders.

also how long is your workout and post workout meal/shake?

I would NEVER allow more than 3 hours go by from the time you have your pre workout meal/shake and post workout meal/shake.

I usually have a shake with like 85gms of whey and 25gms or less of carbs (im dieting now so low carbs) at 4:45pm and hit the weights by 5:30pm and have my post workout shake which is almost identical to my pre workout shake at like 7:30pm or the LATEST 7:45pm.

Many people on this board avoid high-GI foods and/or are on low-carbohydrate diets. If you're not watching your carbohydrate grams then you read here about fruit may not apply to you.

Just curious -- are there carrots in the shake or is it carrot juice? Just seems weird to have pieces of carrot floating in there!
