protein shake before workout bad?

Well i got in an argument with a guy at the gm. He told me that by taking a protein shake before i work out i'am actually making my self ware out before im done working out, and that if i do take one it should be 90 mins before.
 
Idk. I always take one scoop before I go to the gym and two scoops after the gym. It seems to work out for me. I have to admit though I came up with this from reading magazines back in the day.
 
I've been testing waters with the shake pre-workout and I'd advise AGAINST it.
If you need to take a shake pre-workout than make sure you take it 1.5hours before workout with enough carbs as protein. Then 30 mins pre workout take your supplements and a piece of fruit, and maybe some whole wheat bread. and a whole lotta wotta
 
yea, it does seem like i crash after i take my protein shake. it makes me more tired. I took some new n20 which really pumped the fuck out of me, and my veins are freaking huge!

it is essential and critical to supplement whey protein to infuse your blood with aminos and such PREwo
 
In my case, if I drink a shake 20 or less mins before workout im tired and worthless

I like this:

1.5 hours before gym = protein shake
1 hour before gym : BCAAs
40mins : apple
35mins: 10 Amp02 tabs

I love taking the AMP 02!! You want to talk about pumps! Damn, that is some good stuff.
 
i take a goat whey shake everyday before i work out and then after too. it doesnt make me tired, and dont see why it would make anyone tired unless its the sugar crash from a high sugared protein drink.
