Protein requirement question..

If I were to train Back and Chest on the same day, will I need more protein that if I were to train only Back or only Chest ? I am trying to rework my diet and training and this question just cropped up. I am a newbee,so sorry if this sounds stupid.Any help would be appreciated.

I personally don't like training chest and back on the same day because it requires serious effort and I don't think you get maximum results, though I have done days every once in a while where I've supersetted chest and back and those days tend to be brutal. My feeling is that you probably shouldn't need more protein on that day, but that opinion is more out of the "eat as much protein everyday" school of thought than anything scientific. If anything, a workout that demanding might require more carbs for the energy expenditure. If you are counting every last calorie, you should probably listen to the other bros about your question, though.

day 1 : chest + tri
day 2 : back + bi

OR

day 1 : chest + bi
day 2 : back + tri

Don't base your protein intake on your workouts. You should be taking in the same amounts every day if possible, regardless of whether you lift on that day or not.

it won'tmatter what bodypart you trained for you to determine your protein, always try to get your protein/carbs after you lift, keep your protein consistent everyday which should be at least 1-1.5 per lb of bodyweight...............

I used to train back and chest and didnt make much progress... switched to back and bis and but chest with shoulders...

both back and shoulders are now lookin nice nice nice.
