Trying to get a consensus of how many grams of protein per pound of body weight you Bros consume while "on"?????

I am currently around 1 - 1.25 grams per pound and i'm wondering if upping it to 2 grams per pound would make a big difference. This is the first time i'm following a fairly strict diet so i'm still seeing what balance of macros works for me.

usually 1.5 grams per lb. see what works for you tho mate, try 1.25 for a while and up it if you think you need more.

I say 2-3 grams per lb...somwhere in between.

3 seems abit excessive to me, 2 at most. if you weigh 220, 440 grams of protein is plenty, 660 grams of protein would be a waste imo

I can handle 2 per lb but get very bad protein breath and dont notice a any dif in gains at 3 .
Brad.

3! where would it all come from, honestly?

gotta be at least 3-4 shakes incorporated into that

i'll probably ride this out for 30 days and then incrementally by 1/4 gram bump it up to find my sweet spot.

still curious for personal feedback though :)

I agree completely. It's difficult for most to get up to 2g/lb I just don't think 3 is logical unless your livelihood is bodybuilding.

I agree, 2.5 is my minimum per lb. 4 protein shakes a day with 25g each (plus 8g for milk) is 132g right there! Without food!

If your 150lbs it's one thing but if your 240 like I am 3g/lb is just too much in my opinion. Using your example of 4 shakes = 132g that means I would have almost 600g of protein left to down. Thats about 30 pieces of chicken breast... thats a whole hell of a lot of food bro.

I've got to cycle my intake. I'll go with 2 for 1.5-2 weeks and then cut back to 1.25 for 4+ days. Otherwise I get bloated and start gaining excess lbs.
