Protein Factory...which proteins do you use from them?

Just curious as to what proteins you guys use from protein factory on a regular basis. Recently ordered big blast which should be in soon and I know a lot of people on here prefer it. Also I"m interested, and a little confused, about the super plasma bovine. It only had 5mg protein I think? What's the big deal with this? The protein percentage is greater or something? Do you add it to your normal protein shake and what benefits would this provide. It's quite expensive but would like to try it. Please discuss all. Thanks guys.

I ordered 10 lbs of the premium whey and 2 lbs of the big blast...i'm also curious about the super bovine protein, how would one incorporate this into the diet?

where you at Nelson?

Okay, this is the thing. Super bovine serum isn't a form of protein that is more readily digested, or pre-digested. It's already in the form of nitrogen that's in the bloodstream. That's because, well, it's PLASMA. (Well, the aminos in it, not whole plasma). But before you get grossed out, stick with me.

SPP is ultra clean and filtered. It's also tasteless. (If you think about where it comes from, cows milk is pretty gross). A teaspoon is 5 grams of pure protein but when you consider that 5 USEABLE grams compared to the usual grams from whey, it's pretty amazing. You need to take in about 100 grams of protein from food to actual turn 5 grams into muscle tissue).

So basically what happens is, instead of the aminos going through the digestive process, the SPP goes right back into the bloodstream and is accepted -- because that's what it is. The molecular structure is instantly recognized. I know this is an over simplification but that's basically what it comes down to.

Okay, stick with me another minute.

Protein is discarded unless it has something to do. So training is paramount to require necessary amino acids. But the body can only accept so much. This is where steroids come in. They recirculate nitrogen so the aminos aren't just passed though. It keeps using it over and over and as much as possible. SPP acomplishes this naturally. When used WITH steroids, the results are sick!!!

Now, if anyone thinks this sounds like supplement hype, think again. There's been legitimate research on this stuff that proves it works. Rats were given an equal amount of protein from different sources. The ones who received SPP grew at a much greater rate. (Interestingly, the ones given whole egg grew came in second).

You can buy SPP by itself but more than an teaspoon isn't recommended. It's kinda chalky and very expensive. BIG BLAST has SPP, whole egg, and ion exchanged whey -- the 3 best proteins , one instant, one long lasting, and one slow absorbing, so it's great post workout and also before bed.

There are also enzymes to increase absorption, NO2 to enhance pumps, creatine P12 to boost fluid retention deep in the muscle with less bloat, plus hydrolized rice syrup to shuttle it into the bloodstream quickly. And oh yeah, hydrolyzed rice syrup tastes like sucrose. And I mean EXACTLY like sucrose. It's a natural sugar. That's one of the reasons it tastes so good. Ya GOTTA have a little natural sweetener for the best flavor.

Put it all together and you have a drink that does everything you need to grow muscle faster and it tastes awesome.

And that's the story of BIG BLAST. :)

I just ordered 5lbs of Big Blast last night. Tropical Orange and I add everything but the Carbogen and the Vitamins. Is the extra stuff worth it or necessary? I am really looking forward to this protein, all of the comments about it make it seem amazing.

Nelson, how does SPP compare to Bovine Serum Albumin? My current proteins contains that. Didn't even know if that was a big deal or anything until I saw spp.

Also, why no Aminogen? Or did I just miss it? What are your thoughts on it?

Very interesting and informative. Nice for everyone of us to see what Nelson has put down on his post on Big Blast so we can see what Big blast REALLY is. No wonder why it tastes so good. Every time I drink it, it not only tastes great but the results from it are actually paying off. I just feel like it is really working on me. This is good news on this product!!

Yes, I forgot to mention BIG BLAST has aminogen.

SPP is Bovine serum. I figured other companies would jump on the bandwagon but I can't vouche for the purity. Protein Factory's SPP is 99% pure protein. Some versions are as low as 74%.

No need for extras with the BIG BLAST. I purposely left out vitamins and minerals beause they affect the tastes. Just pop a couple of DX7 and you're covered with that. As for the glutamine and such -- honestly, I don't think you need it. But they can't hurt.

Cool thanks alot.

Would there be any benefit to buying SPP and adding a teaspoon to your PWO shake and whatever other shakes you had throughout the day?
