So, during my MMA training I have been having what the doc said is reactive hypoglycemia. My blood sugars have been spiking and crashing due to high carb intake so I can keep my ass moving. Well..I worked with him and a nutritionist and essentially they advised me to take in a balance of protein and carbs for less spiking and sustained energy.
I had an issue with this because training is so intense high fluid inatke from a shake causes cramping and me to puke. I cannot eat anything heavy either. I had been trying atkins abrs, and some heavier protein bars but the atkins ones were for fairies and the heavy ones made me sick and had tons of sugar.
Well.. on a whim and a prayer I ordered protein bars from needto and I have to say these things are doing the trick. I have been able to eat them without puking and they are easy as hell to make and taste awesome!
I have been measuring my bood sugars and things are in balance. I took them to the nutrionists office and she stated they were a good product and that the ingreinets list was "kosher" LOL. Then that b%^#h asked if I would give her one to try as she wanted to be able to recommend them to "other body builders"
I told her sure if my consultation was free! She did ot think that was so funny....
